My brain finally catches up with the fact I’m naked in front of Cain

for the first time in six years. I sit up in a

rush of water and bring my knees to my chest, resting my chin on top of them.

“You... you shouldn’t be in here.”

“You wouldn’t answer me,” he says exasperatedly.

“Well, no shit. My head was underwater. That still doesn’t give you the

right to just walk in here.”

“When you don’t answer me when I’m standing right outside of a wide open door,

not to mention the fact

this is my house... well, then I think I have every fucking right. Don’t you?”

“No, I don’t. You could have just peeked in and seen I was fine and waited.

Was this some kind of ploy for you to get me right where you wanted me?

Are you so afraid that the minute

you turn your back on me I will up and try to leave?

Are you going to watch my every move? Or did you

have an ulterior motive in suggesting I shower,

just so I could strip down naked and you

could make damn sure I didn’t go anywhere? So tell me what the hell it is,

because this back and forth, hot and cold game

you’ve started is really starting to piss me the hell off!”

I glare up at him, not quite able to read his eyes.

What I do know is that the sexual tension between the two of us is so strong,

it’s working triple overtime.

There’s only one tiny little obstacle in our way... and that would be our past.

The fact that I can’t trust him.

He broke every bit of it the same day he broke my heart.

One of us needs to give in, take charge so we can

just fuck and move on.

This has been a really hard one for me to rate….I love the story, I loved the characters and I loved the passion. Some parts felt a little rushed and I would have like to have known more but this didn’t take away from the story.

Cain and Calla were each others first love and what they had was strong and unbreakable. Their families were not happy with this and tried to break them up but after turning 18 and thinking they know everything they get married. They have their futures all mapped out that is until they return to town to tell their parents. Calla’s Father is furious and her mother is upset, agreeing to collect her thing and meet her husband soon she leaves Cain to tell his father about their marriage.

Something happens in that short time and Calla is left broken and devastated when she catches her husband in bed with another woman. And she does the only thing she can she leaves for Canada to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer

Cain loves Calla with a fierce passion, people may not be happy or accept their relationship but he doesn’t care. His love knows no bounds but he finally has her and she is his. Married for only a couple of hours, he proceeds alone to go tell his father about his new wife, only Cain finds out that everything he has ever known is a lie, people are not who he thought they were and he has no choice to do the worst thing possible to save the love of his life.

6 YEARS LATER….

Calla returns home to ask her husband for a divorce!!! It will be simple she will ask him and he will sign the papers, he was the one that threw what they had away, it’s his entire fault right???? WRONG!!!!

Cain is shocked to say the least when he comes face to face with his wife…What is she doing here?, she should be in Canada, living her life being secretly watched by Manny and protected by them both. This is also when he realizes that no matter what happens next she will stay with him and he will do everything in his power to prove his love for her.

Cain knows she needs to know the truth but can he tell her everything and risk loosing her forever, he wants to prove to her first that they should be together and then tell her but that doesn’t happen. Everything starts to unravel quickly and she demands answers but can she deal with the truth.

Everyone she loves has lied to her, her parents are not who she thought, Manny has a secret, Cain is a casualty to all the lies that were told all them years ago and her love for him is still very much present.. With people out for revenge and wanting to hurt all the people closest to her, can Calla be strong enough to deal with it all and risk having her heart broken again? Will Cain succeed in getting his one true love back? And will she be able to forgive all the lies?
