This was a great start to a new series.
Katrina Vega has not had the easiest of lifes, growing up in the system she vows to complete her Nursing degree at all costs.
With her summer job coming to an end she needs work and fast. She is extremely lucky when a conversation with a woman named Betsy leads to her securing employment at a bar that will work round her placement and college hours. Working in the bar offers Kat so much, not only does she make plenty of money between her wages and tips she also has a sense of safety and security. The bar is owned by The Dragon Runners MC, and Betsy is the Prez's Old Lady.
Mute has been hurt by a woman before and isnt looking for another to spend his time with. Working as the club enforcer, he is loyal and passionate about his club.
When these two meet, they don't get off to the best start. Kat finds herself in situations that are not of her making and Mute seems to be the one to save her.
There is an obvious attraction between them, but there is also another brother who seem keen on Kat too.
Will Mute claim Kat as his own or will his brother sweep her off her feet first?
This book was somewhat of a slow burn that hooked me from the very beginning. I loved the sense of family and the protective manner they all had.
I can not wait for book 2!!!

ML Nystrom had
stories in her head since she was a child. All sorts of stories of
fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured her interest. A
voracious reader, she’s spent many hours devouring books; therefore, she
found it only fitting she should write a few herself!
ML has spent
most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument
repair technician, but that doesn’t mean she’s pigeon-holed into one
mold. She’s been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap
maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and
whatever else she felt like exploring. As one of her students said to her
once, "Life’s too short to ignore the opportunities." She
has no intention of ever stopping... so welcome to her story world. She
