“If I let go, will you catch me?”

He had wanted her to help him win his ex-girlfriend back. She had wanted to teach him a few lessons on how to treat a woman. Neither one had planned for the unexpected.

I couldn't stand by and watch. It hit too close to home. I had to run fast and far to get away and forget him. He weaseled his way into my life, making me question rules I lived by and turned my orderly life upside down. I'm falling apart and coming undone. I don't do that. I'm Madison Stuart. I live life by my rules. I won't be derailed by a man. I won't...I can't.

She's gone. I'm desperate and going insane. I'll do whatever it takes to find her. I don't know when it happened, but I won't let her go, not like this. What has she done to me? I'm Rick Marin for crying out loud. I don't chase women, but she's not just a woman. She's Maddy--my Maddy--and I need her.

Follow Rick and Madison’s story, The Do Over’s most notorious couple, as they learn that It’s Not Over.

"Granted, those tender moments had been few and far between. Most of the time, I wanted to strangle  her. I was convinced she'd cast some voodoo spell on me because I couldn't for the life of me understand the allure of this sadomasochistic relationship."~Rick
After reading the DO-OVER I could not wait to dive into Rick and Maddy's story. There is just something about these two that just intrigued me from the very start.
After getting Madison's help to try and become a better more respectful man in his quest to win back his Ex girlfriend. Madison got under his skin in a way one has done before. Upon realising that along the way Madison has became his best friend and something more he put an end to his selfish asshole plan to win back Dani.

"I can't stand her half the time. She drives me crazy. She infuriates me like no one else. But I felt something for her that I couldn't describe. It was more than a wanting to bury my dick in her and fuck her hard...I couldn't live without her."~Rick

IT’SNot Over
In a tender voice, he said, “Maddy, you’ve got to be one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. Tonight though, you’re also breathtaking.”
“Thank you.” I accepted his compliment while draping the linen napkin across my lap, and I smiled to myself.
“I think we’re making progress.” He winked. “Normally, you’d insult me when I said something nice to you.”
“True.” I shrugged and said offhandedly, “You’ve annoyed the shit out of me today. I think I deserve having you kiss my ass.”
“You know, I’m the best ass-kisser there is.” He ran his fingers along my back. “Why stop with the ass when you’ve got an amazing body that requires the same level of care and attention?”
“Is this your best?” I gave him a side-glance. “I’m counting on the wow factor. I want it to be so good that I actually believe you.”
He shifted in his seat and cocked his head. “I don’t know why you ever doubt me.”
“For starters, you’re a liar and a manipulator.”
“Minor technicality,” he said in a serious tone.
I laughed. “Let’s add comedian as well.”
His eyes widened, and I held back a giggle.
“You really believe that, don’t you?” I asked.
“I’ve never hidden that from you. In fact, you’re the only person I’ve ever been completely honest with. You accept me for who I am, kick me in the ass on a constant basis, and call me out on my bullshit.” He reached for his wine and took a sip. “Let me put it to you this way. You disappeared on me, and I pulled every single trick I had to find you. Think about that. When have I ever had to work this hard to get a woman to talk to me? Never.

The Do Over

Life doesn’t look like it’s supposed to for Dani Ruiz, a hopeless romantic. After a painful and sudden break-up with Rick Marin, Dani hides away from reality, retreating to a world of fiction where she prefers book boyfriends over the hassles of a relationship.

Almost two years later, Dani’s friends are tired of watching her in a holding pattern, so they stage an intervention, forcing her back into the real world of dating.

Unexpectedly, Dani meets Liam Lucas, a down-to-earth firefighter. He might be the person to show her she’s still worth something. Dani’s hesitant to trust her heart with another man, but their instant and electric chemistry is something she can’t deny.

As Dani starts to believe that she’s found her real-life book boyfriend, Rick decides that he’ll go to any lengths to get her back. Seeing Rick as a changed man makes Dani question everything.

Can Dani trust her patched-up heart with Liam?
Or has Rick transformed into the man she’s always wanted?

Written from various points of views, The Do Over is a story of second chances and new beginnings.

"This is so much worse than your kindle problem. This is a condition that needs to be remedied. Do you hear me? Seriously, you have a little gift down there to the next one that visits the land down under. Then, she gave me a very serious look. Just make sure you have a lot of lube. He'll love the tightness, but you might not be able to walk for a week"
After having her heart broken Dani has closed herself and most importantly her heart from fear of being hurt again. She has now emerge herself in a fictional world surrounded by her love of books and her book boyfriends. After a much needed intervention by her two best friends she meets Lucas; A HOT, caring super sweet fire fighter.

"Suddenly, something changed for me. I had to slow down. Maybe everything just became clear. I wanted her to be mine in more than a physical way. She owned me. If I had a doubt before, it was gone now. Looking at her, I knew that I lover her."~Lucas
I liked how his and Dani's relationship developed the pace was unhurried they got to know each other well. Their connect was evident and strong. Lucas laid it all on the line for her by telling her the depth of feelings he was experiencing her her but by also showing her each day. Dani still had her issues and self doubt which was understandable giving the way her ex Rick dumped her. I loved the support system she had in her two best friends Candace gives it to her straight while Macy keeps things fun and naughty with her one trick mine. I just admire their bond everyone should have friends like Dani's Loyal  protective that gives you the truths that you need not necessarily the one you wanted.

Rick, the ex boyfriend that dumped Dani like yesterdays trash decides he wants to win her back and make things right. To accomplish his mission he enlist the help of the sexy pernicious bar manager Madison Stuart. This for me over shadowed Dani and Lucas as soon as Rick met Maddy I wanted more and more from them I love their love hate tug of war the dynamics between them was explosive from the start. Rick needs to learn how to treat women with respect in order to woe Dani back and Madison loves a challenge and one look at "Asshole Rick" she just cannot resist and enrols him in the Madison finishing school.

"My heart swelled as I relished in the moment. I was falling in love with him."~Dani
Despite the fact that Dani is in love with Lucas he treats her like a queen and showers her in affections every chance he gets. When she runs into a "Reformed Rick" who is on the charm offensive and his secret mission to win her back he stirs old feelings within her causing her to question and doubt her relationship with Lucas.

"I know CPR, baby. I'm taking care of your heart, and I'm making sure you know that my heart belongs to you. Always did and always will. We're going to do things right this time. I guess you can call it a Do-Over.~Lucas
The overall plot was simple and easy to follow. The writing flowed well with plenty humorous moments that had me laughing out loud. The one liners were killing me a very fun interesting reads. Plus Rick's and Maddy's side story hooked me in.

He had given me a sunrise and a sunset. he was the love of my life, the man of my dreams, and every one of my book boyfriends wrapped into one."~Dani
