A Romantic paranormal that will have you believing and hoping that there is more to this world.

Ean and Laila's fate is destined to be together but Ean can walk away and choose a different path and Laila's future would be back in the hands of fate.

Ean's job is to care for the fae  until their 21st birthday, if they reach 21 without telling a lie he has completed his task, if not they become the fallen and he believes he has failed, while Laila is a trainer to help the fae deal with their powers. When some of the fae under Eans watch start to go missing he struggles to deal with the guilt and believes he is not worthy of Laila but his only solitude is Laila and he finds himself turning up at her apartment to lose himself in the only way he can with her. 

Ean tries to put all his time into work and avoid Laila but the spark they have when they are near each other has them in hot steamy sex where and whenever they can. When Fate steps in and gives Ean is ultimatum either claim Laila or she will break the connection of their souls. Ean risks loosing Laila when he puts all his effort into dealing with the dangerous stalker that has been following Shaylee leaving Laila to try to move on and when he see's her with Phin he knows he has made a mistake and realizes he cant live without her or stand to see another man touching her and he looses control and disappears to deal with the fate reader who is causing the fae to go missing and learns that they are going missing because of his past actions. 

When Ean and Layla are forced to work together to help trap a fallen fate reader he starts to fight for Laila, but is it too late and will their souls still be connected. 

I absolutely loved Laila's strong female character, she is funny, witty and where Ean is concerned always in a hot sweaty mess and you cant help but to fall in love Ean who has a very hot talented body with a emotional protective side that is very hard to resist. 

The flow of this story was brilliant and easy to follow, although there seemed to be a lot of characters they all come together quickly and each one has their own story to tell. I really like the way the author has managed to bring gripping drama, humor, romance and some very hot sex scenes all together. Definitely a page turner all the way through

Still avoiding my gaze, he does a cursory look about the room to see if we’ve missed anything. Apparently he’s satisfied that we’ve cleaned up all traces of our little rendezvous because he walks to the door and grasps the handle; once its open, he motions for me to exit first. At the opening, I pause in front of him and wait until he finally lifts his eyes to mine. I scrutinize his blue depths and search for any difference after what we shared. No. He has shut me out once again. “No regrets.” I leave him with the same words as always. And, like always, he says nothing in return. I step out into the hall and come to a sudden stop. Brannon is just leaving out of his room at the end of the hall. He smiles and opens his mouth to speak, but then his eyes dart past me and his lips come together in a grim line. I can only imagine what he is seeing. Rumpled clothes, messy hair, swollen lips, and glowing skin. This is the second time he has run into us in this state, but this time, there is no question what just happened. It’s pretty damn clear. Brannon starts toward us but his eyes are on Ean. I decide to let him deal with it and walk away, albeit slowly, so that I can eavesdrop a little. “Dude,” Brannon’s voice is low and accusatory, “Please tell me that you did not just fuck Aden’s sister with him in the next room.” “Watch how you fucking talk about her, Brannon.” Ean growls. Silence. “Relax.” Ean’s voice is laid back now, almost nonchalant. “We were just blowing off some steam. Don’t make more of it than it is.” His words cause tears to prick behind my eyes. One of the worst things about complete honesty is that you can’t pretend that someone is lying to save yourself from pain. Ean truly believes that’s what we are. And, somehow, I’ve let him continue to believe that I’m ok with it. Yep, I’m as much to blame for this as he is. I blink away the moisture. I don’t deserve to wallow in self-pity, especially since I know, the next time he comes to me, I won’t turn him away.   Elle Christensen
