Megan's Five ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹ Scandalous Kisses Review:
If you’re a fan of paranormal/reverse harem reads than The Devil's Gate Trilogy is most definitely a MUST READ!  From page one I was hooked on all things Celeste, Laken, Gage & Lucas ๐Ÿ–ค.  Jam packed full of some seriously off the charts chemistry, action, secrets, mystery & all the paranormal goodness...SO GOOD!  Celeste has a destiny to fulfill becoming "the vessel" to unite all the paranormal species; you'll definitely be white knuckling your kindle and holding your breath as you go on this fast-paced adventure with her and her men.  I can honestly say that after staying up way past my bedtime to finish The Devil's Gate Series that my PNR reading/RH loving heart is very happy right now.  And I hope you enjoy this trilogy as much as I did ๐Ÿ–ค

Excerpt:

“We have to go back for Lucas. Take me back, now.” I grabbed at Gage’s sweater, tears streaming down my face.
“Breathe, little witch.” He pulled me into his chest. “Breathe.”
“But he… the vampires…”
“Lucas will be fine.” His hand cupped the back of my head.
“He will?” I eased out of his grip, craning my neck to see his eyes. Needing to see honesty there.
“I promise.”
“What was that back there?” It had been a blur, but I’d seen the burst of power. Felt it before Gage got us out of there.
“That was Fae magic. The Riverbank is protected by wards, protection spells. They keep unwanted visitors out.”
“I didn’t know.” I was beginning to realize I didn’t know a lot of things.
“You didn’t exactly come with an instruction manual, Celeste. And we didn’t want to overwhelm you. Telling you about the wards didn’t seem important at the time.”
“Lucas will really be okay?”
Gage backed up, giving me space, and ran a hand down his face. “He’ll be fine. If he needed help, he would have called for it. But there is none more powerful than Lucas.”
My shoulders sagged with relief.
“You really care about him, don’t you?” Gage asked tightly.
“I… I can’t explain it. It’s like you came along and all I saw was you. My heart became yours. But then spending time with Lucas, a small part became his too.”
He inhaled a ragged breath and looked to the sky. I went to him, hating the distance between us. Sliding my hands up his chest, I looped my arms around his neck and demanded his attention. “It doesn’t change how I feel about you, Gage.”
“Sharing is not in my nature, little witch.” He smoothed his thumb down my cheek and over my bottom lip. “When I think of you with another, I want to—”
“Ssh.” I silenced him with a kiss. “I’m not asking you to share.”
At least, I didn’t think I was.
Lucas and I were more friends. It wasn’t explosive and passionate the way it was with me and Gage, but I had felt something with him earlier. Gage broke the kiss, staring down at me. Slowly his mask of composure slid back into place and I knew this conversation was over.
For now.
“We should get moving. Once you’re settled with the wolves, I’ll make sure Lucas is okay and then pay Gerard another visit. Dahlia needs to be taken care of once and for all.”
“You’re not leaving me here!” I shrieked.
“It’s just until things with Dahlia calm down. She won’t stop, Celeste. Not until she has what she wants.”
“And what does she want Gage? Me… or you?”
He blew out an exasperated breath, rubbing his temples. “Come on. The sentries have picked up our scents.” Gage set off toward the bayou. Last time we’d been here, we came in through the main street, but this time we were already deep in wolf territory.
We hadn’t gotten twenty feet when Jaxon Gallant burst out of the trees. “Bloodsucker, these visits are becoming a far too regular occurrence.”
“Is Laken around?”
“He’s out at his cabin. What’s this all about?” Jaxon moved into Gage’s space and the air around us charged with tension.
Fed up with being surrounded by men who insisted on treating me like nothing more than a damsel in distress, I stomped past them both and called, “While the two of you figure out whose dick is bigger, I’m going to find Laken.”
Jaxon snickered while Gage rushed up beside me. “We were not—”
“Save it. I’m hungry, tired, and I don’t have the energy to argue with you.”
He stepped in front of me, cutting off my route. “Why didn’t you say something?”
I met Gage’s concerned gaze and grimaced. “I’m fine. Come on, let’s get this over with.”
“It must be bad if you’re running here.” Jaxon fell into step on my other side.
“It’s—”
“Celeste.” Gage’s voice was grave. “We should wait until we speak with Laken.”
“My brother doesn’t keep things from me.” The younger Gallant puffed out his chest.
Gage raised a brow at that. Thankfully, the dense trees began to clear, and I spotted Laken’s cabin in the distance. He was out front, shirtless, chopping wood. As we drew nearer, I could make out the ripple of his muscles as he swung the axe down, splitting the huge logs clean in half.
“You’ve got a little drool,” Jaxon mocked. “Right there.” He reached for me, but I batted his hand away, feeling my cheeks heat.
Gage growled beside me and when I slid my guilty eyes to his, I said, “I can’t help it. He’s right there and he’s half-naked. I’d be crazy not to notice all that.” I waved my hand in Laken’s direction.
I was playing—for the most part—but it didn’t stop my jealous vampire from stalking off ahead of me.
“Think you pissed him off.” Jaxon didn’t bother trying to tamp down the amusement in his voice.
“He’ll get over it,” I said, feeling smug to have Gage at my mercy for once.
By the time we reached Gage and Laken, they hadn’t killed each other. I took that as a positive sign.
“Look what the wolf dragged in.” Jaxon slung his arm around my neck. “Get it? Wolf?” He howled with laughter, but his brother and Gage looked anything but amused.
“Jaxon,” Laken barked. “Please remove your arm from the Regent’s neck.”
Not Celeste.
Not even girl.
Just the Regent.
I bristled.
