Author Bio:

Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. Where did the idea for LMB came from was it purely fiction or was it based of actual events?

Michelle Lynn-Author~

All fiction for the most part. However, I am a "little" to my brother who did play football in high school. There was a group of us that were the siblings to his friends. That's where the similarities stop.

I loved that you used football.

How long have you been writing at how long did it take to complete Love Me back?
Michelle Lynn-Author

It was a life I grew up in. Being six years younger than my brother, I went a LOT of football games as a kid!

Love Me Back is my first novel, as you probably know, although, there are about half dozen unfinished novels on my desktop.

Writing has been a passion of mine since I was probably in high school. But life happened and I made other choices before coming back to it this past year.

It took be about 2 months to write it and then I released it in April without having it edited (biggest novice mistake). I took it off in June to have it professionally edited and that took about 6 weeks to complete.

What is your writing process do You listen to music whiles writing.

Music is an absolute must! I type a lot at night since I still work part-time and am a mother and wife and a housekeeper and a cook...Shall I go on. Kidding aside, I get a lot of my ideas when I'm at work listening to music Monday thru Wednesday. After jotting them on post-its or typing them in the notes on my iPhone Thursday seems to be my best day for writing. Lately, I still try to write by opening juice boxes and handing out snacks but schools starting soon so it should get easier :) I am a little different where I don't outline the story, however, I'm starting to think I should. But I don't want to limit myself. For instance...LMB was supposed to be a straight love story between Maddy and Trent but when I had Gabe enter that first chapter and call her Madgirl, my whole mind shifted to something else.

Wow, that is quite a few job titles. What is your favourite quote/ scene and why?

Michelle Lynn-Author

Oh...My favorite quote is “I hear something about that, but you’re still Trent’s girl. Just look at those eyes.” coming from my favorite part (except the ending). Gabe coming into her dorm room to get her out of her funk.

I thinks it's the first time they could actually be together. Up until that the age difference still kept them in two different part of their lives. At that point, they were both in college, away from everyone else (except Kenna and Bryan)

You wrote some pretty emotional scenes what was that like and did you cry?

Michelle Lynn-Author

I did...I would be typing late at night with my ebuds in and my husband would look over and ask "Are you crying?" I would just stand up, get a tissue and nod my head. I try to take myself to a place in my life, similar to where the characters at.

I have to admit I hate Trent will he be getting his own book?

Michelle Lynn-Author

I'm still thinking about it! I think he deserves his HEA but he needs to grow up and mature!

I couldn't agree more I just wanted to punch him so he would wake up. I read the excerpt from your new book and I cannot wait to read.

Are you still in the process of writing it. And what are your upcoming projects?

Thank you, I'm very excited about my next book Don't Let Go. It was a refreshing change from the love triangle in LMB.
...it's done and has already been to the editor. I'm actually having some others read through it one last time before formatting it!

Well, there's Don't Let Go and I'm just finishing another novel to get to the editor Tuesday. I really want to dig into Trent but these other characters keep out winning him. So, I'm torn where to start next but his story is definitely running through my mind.

Final question. What do do hope readers take away from your stories.

That love doesn't arrive on your doorstep in a nicely wrapped package for to open and live eternally in bliss. Sometimes it's right in front of you and other times you have to look in the least likely of places. But once you find it, if you fight like hell it's worth everything you went through to get there!
