Synopsis

“I held Jessie in my arms as she started to nod off to sleep. She looked so peaceful with her head on my chest. We’d just made love for the first time in a long time and it was great. I felt that it might have been a bit too much for Jessie though; she was obviously winded and looked like she was going to pass out. I knew that she was doing better but I also knew that it would be a while before she was up to herself again. I was still early in the evening so I maneuvered to get up without disturbing her. She stirred a little but I kissed her cheek and whispered into her ear, take a little nap, Darling. I’m going to help granny with Dinner.”

Beau is a lovely country lad who has had his heart broken in the past so he is not really looking for a girl or a relationship. He is just counting down the days until her rejoins the Navy for his new deployment.
Jessie taught is would marry Tommy her long term boyfriend once she finished school and live happily ever after. However things does not work out after Tommy breaks up with her. She is devastated but what she does not realise is that its the best thing Tommy has done for her because he treated her life crap, verbally abusive and controlling.
Trying to get over her heart ache she finds herself in a few different beds but the conclusion is always the same.....Man lie, cheat and her hurt is still present. So she decides to move back home and stay with her grandmother in-order to start her life over again.
Once she arrives she meet Beau......fast forward one week late THEY HAVE FALLEN MADLY IN LOVE.
For me this was a little fast but it was clear they loved each other deeply.
The story developed at a steady pace. her ex Tommy is completely insane and delusional he reeks havoc on the happy couple.
Leaving Jessie scared and frightened with a host of nightmares. (I won't giveaway what happens)
Beau has finally gotten his orders...moving to Florida they hoped to start a new life.
Will they get the fresh start they so longed far?
Jessie is now a Navy wife
How will she adapt to Navy life?
This part of the book I really liked, learning about Navy life and the lingo.
The book ends with a cliffhanger so I will be reading the next instalment to find out what happens.
Overall: The writing a flow was OK, the plot line was also OK nothing I haven't heard before but all the same this is a good book. I hate the cover, it does not represent the story. The women on the cover is Old and Jessie is in her late teens

Meet the Author
Author J.D. Alexander currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida. She’s a Navy wife and mother of three wonderful children. She decided to write when every time she finished reading a novel she would come up with her own ending or beginning. Getting tired of saying "I would have done it this way" she decided to give it a whirl.
Her sailor and children are her life and spends as much time with them as possible. When not spending time with her family and friends she enjoys helping youth in the community. She also likes to sew and has made special occasion outfits as well as everyday outfits for those she loves.
