(B&S #2)

Synopsis

From the moment she first saw him running on the treadmill next to her, Spencer Marshall had fallen head over heels in love with Brandon Montgomery. After Spencer has a near-death experience she would rather forget, they do their best to move on with their lives, leaving their past behind them.

Thankful for a fresh start and eager to move on with her life, Spencer focuses on helping her best friend Ryan Kennedy plan her wedding. Everything seems to be going as planned when someone from Brandon's past reappears. Can Spencer and Brandon survive the coming days as they struggle to deal with ghosts from the past?

Excerpts

Brandon drove me down to the police station for the formal interview that afternoon. The investigating officer told me that Christy was still pretty beaten up from the fall and subsequent surgery she had to endure from the stab wound. Apparently, she had punctured her liver and would be in the hospital for at least a few more days –– enough time for the police to get all their ducks in a row. I really didn’t want to rehash the incident, but I knew it had to be done. After an hour and a half of me recounting the events, Brandon and I made our way to Macy’s at Union Square to get my mind off everything.

Macy’s at Union Square covers an entire block.  Although I wanted to go crazy and buy the whole store, I had to remember that for the next few months my tiny closet was going to need to hold both my and Brandon’s clothes.
“Okay, all I really need is another nice dress so I don’t keep wearing the same one over and over again,” I said to Brandon as we rode the escalator up to the Women’s department.
“Whatever you want, Babe.”
“Are you sure you want to do this? Most guys seem to hate shopping.”
“Oh I do, but I want to be with you, so I don’t mind.”
“Alright, well I don’t want to hear any whining,” I said as I stuck out my tongue at him.
“And what if I do?” Brandon asked, smirking at me.
“Then… then… shit, I don’t know. Don’t give me that look, it drives me crazy and I can’t think straight.”
“Drives you crazy good or drives you crazy bad?”
“Good,” I said as I blushed and tried to swat Brandon’s arm, but he caught my wrist midair and pulled me to him for a quick kiss.
As we browsed around Macy’s, I decided that I should be looking specifically for a dress for my company holiday party, as it was the next big event that I needed to attend.
I picked out a few dresses and told Brandon that I was going to try them on in the dressing room. The first dress I tried on was a metallic champagne A-line dress. Brandon said he liked it, but I wasn’t feeling it. Next, I tried on a sleeveless dress made with sequined Graphite Grey satin; Brandon liked it as well, but it just wasn’t calling my name.
Finally, I tried on the last dress. It was strapless and made of ivory lace in the pattern of roses with a few ruffles down the front starting at the waist. It was accented with a removable cream-colored belt. I think this is the one. I stepped out to show Brandon. As soon as his face lit up, I knew I had found the one.
“You like?” I asked as I did a little twirl so he could see the back.
“Yes, I like—a lot!” Brandon stood up and walked over to me.
“Yeah, I think this is it.”
“I need further convincing.”
“What?”
He grabbed my hand to lead me back into the dressing room and locked the door behind him.
“What are you doing?” I whispered.
Without answering, he spun me around and pushed me up against the fitting room mirror. My hands slammed into the mirror to brace myself as I felt Brandon’s hard erection against my ass. He moved my hair the side and kissed the side of my neck all the way down to the top of my shoulder, making the little hairs on the back of my neck stand at attention.
“Babe, we’re in a public dressing room,” I panted in a whisper.
“Shh,” he said as he continued to kiss my neck and shoulder. His hand reached around my side as he slowly slid the dress up my thigh inch by inch.
“Babe…” I said in warning.
“Shh.”
His hand glided up my bare thigh and my breath caught when I felt his hand slowly slide into my panties. “Oh God,” I quietly groaned.
Brandon bit lightly on my right earlobe as he started teasing my clit with one of his fingers. I steadied myself with one arm on the mirror, resting my head on his chest as I reached up and grazed my other hand through his soft hair on the back of his neck. His finger slid through my slick wetness before sinking into me as I lifted my leg onto the bench, wanting more. I couldn’t help it ––Brandon brought out the exhibitionist in me. His touch was all I needed to forget everything around me.
“I can’t keep my hands off of you when you wear a dress,” he whispered in my ear, causing my body to shiver as his breath touched my skin.
“Uh huh,” I mumbled. Not only could I barely talk because of the intense pleasure running through my body, but we were in a public dressing room in the middle of the day. I was both terrified and aroused by the thought that we could be caught at any second.
He continued creating circles around my aching clit with one finger as another of his fingers moved rhythmically inside my pussy over and over.  His hard cock was still pressed into my ass. Lifting my head from his chest and moving forward a step, I slid my hand from the back of his neck. Then I reached down behind me and rubbed his erection through his jeans.
“Don’t start something you can’t finish,” he said, whispering in my ear again.
Ha, talk about calling the kettle black! I continued to stroke him as he brought my body closer to its release. I planned to finish him––I needed to finish him. He reached around and slipped his hand into the top of the dress, his fingers easily sliding beneath the silky material of my bra. He began to caress my right breast and roll the already hardened nipple between his fingers, sending my body into overdrive. I came around his finger, my belly clenching as the climax shot through me.
We stood there like that for a moment while I caught my breath, then Brandon slowly removed his hand from my panties. We heard the door next to us close as someone entered the dressing stall. I couldn’t believe what we had just done together in a public dressing room.  It was exhilarating and slightly dangerous and I felt wonderfully alive, but we weren’t quite done.  I turned around and began to undo his belt.
He caught my hands in his for a moment and raised an eyebrow at me as he nodded his head in the direction of the stall next to us. I grinned wickedly and held a finger to my lips, then made quick work of his belt and unbuttoned his jeans. Sliding the zipper down enough to reach inside, I grabbed his length, causing it to twitch in response. Brandon sat on the bench, his erection growing bigger as I ran my hand up and down around it, milking him.
I saw a drop of his pre-cum glisten, reflecting the fluorescent lights above. I bent down on my knees and lowered my head as I licked the tip, tasting his salty goodness. We heard the lady leave the stall next to us and I almost giggled in relief.  He sucked in a sharp breath when my wet tongue swirled around the head. He grabbed the back of my ponytail and guided my head as I bobbed up and down, sucking him over and over. I took him deeper and deeper into my throat until his body tightened and then convulsed slightly as he spurted hot cum down the back of my throat. He grunted slightly with his teeth gritted as he came, his eyes closed as he fought against groaning in pleasure.
“Well… guess I’m buying this dress,” I said, laughing as I stood up.

And when an unforeseen tragedy strikes, can Spencer finally have the happy ending she deserves?

Excerpts

After a few minutes, I realized that I was still alone in the shower. Brandon hadn’t returned from seeing who was at the door and that made me nervous. I quickly rinsed the soap from my body and started to turn off the water when the shower door opened and Brandon slipped in. His hard chiseled body stepped close to me as we both stood under the warm stream of water––something we did almost every night.
“Hey, what took you so long?” I asked, slipping my arms around his neck.
“Blake’s here.”
“Really?”
“Yep.” Brandon’s hands glided down my back to rest on my ass as he gave it a little tug to bring me closer to him.
“Did you know he was coming?”
“Nope, he said he needed to get away and used the plane ticket we gave him for Christmas.”
“Couldn’t he have asked? I mean, this is an important night,” I pouted as Brandon’s cock grew against my belly. I chuckled slightly. Here we were again, talking about his brother at the wrong time.
“Babe, you know how Blake is. He doesn’t always use his head,” he said, tilting his head down to place a soft kiss on my neck.
“I know,” I said, sighing. “Can he maybe get a hotel room for the night?” Of all the nights Blake could have come to visit us, it had to be tonight…the night when I wanted to wear nothing but my new ring and a smile.
“I guess, but we haven’t seen him in, what? Five months?”
“I know––you’re right. I just wanted to walk around naked for the night,” I said, biting my lower lip and giving him my most innocent smile, making his cock twitch in response.
“I’ll make it up to you another night––I promise,” Brandon groaned, bending down again as he pressed his lips to mine.
“But that other night won’t be the night you proposed and I said ‘yes’.”
“I know, Baby…” Brandon looked down at me, searching my eyes as if he was looking for some sort of answer or something. “What if we get a hotel room in the city, you call in sick tomorrow and we order room service, eat breakfast in bed and then spend the rest of the day with Blake? He can take care of Niner tonight. It will give him time to clear his head, too, since that was the reason he jumped on a plane and flew thousands of miles unannounced.”
“Well, he did come all this way. Maybe we should spend time with him?”
“No, he will understand. I’m sure he will be here longer than one night. We will hang out with him tomorrow. Plus I want to see you wearing nothing but your new ring and a smile for the rest of the night,” he said, winking at me, reading my mind.

Review of the B&S series

Book 1: Where I need to be

Book 2: Wanted

Book 3: Anything like me

I read this series almost a year ago for the first time and have reread it now to finally review it. Let me tell you that I still liked it as much as I did before.

One of the first sentences in the first book is “When life hands you lemons, they say to make lemonade”, well it couldn’t be more fitting for it to be used in the beginning of this book. Spencer, the female lead has been struggling with a nasty break-up for a few weeks now and it is only after she gets a kick in the behind from her best friend that she starts dealing with it. Enter Brandon Montgomery, her very own Gideon Cross look-a-like. They first lay eyes on each other when she goes out to try out a new gym in her neighborhood, for work that is. It takes a while before they actually talk to one another but when they finally do, sparks ignite and an undeniable attraction comes to the surface. You’ll L.O.V.E. their first few encounters! Oh and if you didn’t know, Brandon kind of owns the place! After going back and forward a little they are quickly in a steady relationship that makes them both forget the horrible relationships they were in before they met each other. You did not think this was it did you?! No, it is Christy Brandon’s ex-girlfriend that will cause them a whole lot of trouble… What you ask – well you will have to read it yourself. One thing that I forgot to mention are some of the funny comparisons with FSOG, like him opening a gym in Seattle of all places and not to forget Mrs. Robinson aka Teresa, a client in Brandon’s gym who thinks she’s all that. On to the ending then, it is nasty and beautiful at the same time and definitely makes you want to read more of their story!
The second book picks up right where the first book stopped and also gives you a small recap of previous events. Now that they both moved in together they are ready to start living their new found lives with each other. Not only will the wicked witches be back, you know who! There will also be a few new players in the game that will cause a ruckus. I promise you that you’ll be thoroughly shocked! I did love the part where Spencer got to meet Brandon’s family; it was heartwarming to see that she finally felt “Wanted”. Once again this will lead to and ending that’ll make you sigh and swoon and much more!
The last book in the series “Anything like me” is a good conclusion to a thrilling story that Brandon and Spencer shared with us readers and the epilogue just tops it off! You’ll love when you finally find out what the title is all about.
Good job Kimberly on your first series! You gave us a couple to remember…

Review of Tattooed Dots

This book comes from the same woman who gave us the B&S series, which I loved… But this book is something entirely different; it will shatter your emotions all over the place, not exaggerating here! You’ll be surprised by what the title is actually referring to; it will NOT be what you think – It’ll break your heart… Still crying ever since I found out what it was about. Lots of other surprises coming your way by the way…

In this first book of the series we get to meet the two main characters – Easton and Brooke and their two best friends and respective families. Brook is one of the strongest female leads I have ever read about, you’ll see what I mean by that. She starts of working as paralegal assistant and is in a dead end relationship with a dumbass of a boyfriend. Easton, well you’ll have to read about him yourself – not going to ruin the surprise here.. ;-) But he is freaking awesome, hot and oh so sweet, just loved how he handled the entire situation with Brook, what once again will break your heart and have you sobbing like a two year old! That being said, they get to meet one another when they go on a singles cruise, which each of them had been dragged to by their respective best friends. There their journey together commences. It’ll make you laugh, swoon and cry all at the same time.. Not to mention that their best friends fall in love with each other too, gotta love faith there! :-D Their time together is not going to be a walk through the park but you’ll be amazed by the strength that Brook is showing and the support that Easton gives to Brook.

That ending was just woowwww!!! I was crying like a baby, still am… Can’t wait for the other books!!

 Author interview

S~When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I would have to say, when I hired an editor. I started writing my first book: Where I Need to Be, not to publish it, but to see if I could actually write a book. While writing it, I sent it to a few friends and they loved it and it got me thinking that maybe I should actually publish it and see what happens, and well…look what happened!

S~How long does it take you to write a book?
They all vary. With Where I Need to Be, it took me about a month to write the first draft and that was with working full-time. Wanted was just a little bit longer…same with Anything Like Me because I was going through health issues. Actually, you read about my health issues in Tattooed Dots. Tattooed Dots took me six months to write because of my health and because I didn’t exactly know where I wanted the story to go. Oddly enough, Finding Spencer took me about two weeks to write, but the story was mainly written and I just needed to get Brandon’s side.

S~What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I actually throw in some real life situations in all my books.
Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
Music, dreams, brainstorming a lot, real life experiences, movies, TV Shows, other books, driving with my husband and asking him questions when he can’t escape from the moving vehicle…

S~If you could cast your character in the movie adaptation of your books, who would play your characters?
Hmmmm, let’s see… For Brandon, I would love Henry Cavill. Spencer: Ashley Green. Ryan: Mila Kunis…you know what, just check out my Pinterest boards, lol. I haven’t added Henry for Brandon, but he would be ideal! http://www.pinterest.com/authorkknight/

S~How important is music during your writing process? Does it influence you in any way?
Music is very important, I can hear a word in a song and it triggers a scene or some other idea. But, I didn’t listen to music a lot when I wrote Tattooed Dots. I’m not sure why, but that playlist is my favorite once I made it!

S~What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
IT’S HARD!!! I can think for hours about a certain scene. People don’t realize the amount of time it takes to write a book. I mentioned earlier how long it took to write my books, but that didn’t mention the number of hours I spent during the day and night writing those books. There are days, I spend twelve hours writing and only write a chapter because I think and think and think. Also, I do all my own covers, formatting, Facebook…it takes time. I work more now as an author than I did as a Paralegal working 9-5.

S~Is there a message in your novels that you want readers to grasp?
Not really…I mean, Tattooed Dots is dedicated to people who are faced with challenges in their lives. I fully believe people can survive anything, but death of course.

S~What are your current projects?
I just finished the covers for my makeover of the B&S Series. That took a few weeks and now, I’m going to get back to writing Wanting Spencer and doing that cover.

 Cover model interview

1. To start things of, tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from? Where did you go to school? What are your hobbies? Your likes and dislikes?

I’m from Buffalo, New York and am a licensed physical therapist assistant also continuing my education to obtain a doctoral degree as a physical therapist. One more year until I’m Doctor Santa Lucia! I’m extremely active while placing a great deal of emphasis on my physical health. I alternate different methods of exercise daily using a combination of weightlifting, yoga, and bicycling. I’m currently training for a men physique competition that is on June 7th. I work hard, and when the time is right, I will play hard. Life is about balance.

Additionally, I’m very artistic, both in skill and in mentality. This trait can be seen throughout all facets of my life, including my hobbies, the way I live, dress and think. I see the world through a creative lens and tend to favor the more abstract side of things. I’m a deep thinker and I love intellectual conversations; moreover, I’m an effectual communicator, and an even better listener. I’m easy to talk to, open, and honest. People generally feel very comfortable around me right away.

My friends and family consider me to be intelligent, kind, caring, funny, outgoing, mature, sensitive, dependable, fun, but most of all, different. While I tend to be unique in a variety of ways, I consider myself a well-grounded individual. I’m easygoing, the kind of man who will take time to smell the roses. I admire the world and all of its beauty, and love to be adventurous!

Likes: Hiking, camping, exercising, bicycling, art, traveling, education, romantic evenings, surprises, smell of a woman’s hair, soft skin, sensual massages, cuddling, intimacy, flirting, intriguing and deep conversation, and laughter.

Dislikes: Rude people, people who don’t follow through with their word, liars, fake people, pot holes in roads, the color olive green, cold rainy/snowy weather.

2. What is your background in modeling? When and why did you get started? And what kind of modeling do you prefer? Runway, haute couture, ...

I'm new to this industry, but things seem to be progressing rather rapidly for me! This is how I got started - I decided that I wanted to have some nice professional pictures taken of me, just to have because all of my photos were group pictures and in poor quality. My friend at Gabriella Sophia Photography is a well respected photographer in my area and wanted to shoot me, to help me obtain some nice professional shots, as well as promote her page with a new male face. The pictures turned out fantastic and sparked the thought that I might be able to model on the side if I could ever find time with school.
I received a ton of compliments on my photos and many people were surprised to hear that I have only ever done one photo shoot. School is my main priority being that I’m in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, so I had to push all of my excitement about being a potential model aside to focus on what was really important to me. My modeling career really took off with Kimberly Knight’s book series! The pictures from the shoot were incredible and everyone said that I was a natural, and that was all the extra input I needed to decide to pursue modeling.

3. How has modeling changed other aspects of your life?

Well, I’m much busier now than I was before trying to keep up with other interviews, cover releases, promotions, photo shoots, etc. I barely had time to myself before all of this with school, work, and training for the Mr. Rochester Physique competition on June 7th, and now I have no time at all for anything else! It’s ok though, I’m doing what I love between school, exercise training, and modeling, so I’m very happy at the moment!
 It’s nice to feel more appreciated and have people congratulate me on my hard work and accomplishments. Everything is still new to me at the moment, so I will have to see what else changes in the future!

4. What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?

My goal is to produce creative images that are abstract, elegant, stylish, and sexy, while adding my own special touch to each piece.
I have been described as a perfectionist; yet, I know how and when to be flexible with my work. Versatility is one of my main objectives as I advance in this profession. I wish to experience all of the wonderful perspectives and ideas that talented photographers possess, so that I may help foster my growth as a model. I want to help contribute to the success of a beautifully envisioned image by working intimately with the photographers, models, and make up artists involved, and will do so to the best of my ability.
I’m a team player, work very well with others, and I will not be satisfied until the whole team is ecstatic about our work. I cannot be sure of how I will progress in this field, but I will work hard and do my best to maintain my own unique image and hopefully that guides me down the right path to success.

5. Do you have any limitations? Would you model any kind of clothing at all?

As of right now, my limitations would be that I’m still new to this profession and am actively trying to figure out how everything works with booking shoots, networking, etc. I’m fortunate enough to have Kimberly Knight’s guidance as well as Liz at E. Marie Photography. They have been helping me tremendously and I’m learning a lot. I still have yet to figure out other limitations and I’m sure I will find more as I move forward and experience new styles, techniques, photographers, and models.

6. Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?

Well, to keep my body looking like that it takes an incredible amount of hard work and maximum discipline. I exercise vigorously for 2 hours every single day, except Sunday, and I do 30 minutes of cardio, 5 days a week after my 1.5 hours of resistance training each day. I’m training for a physique competition in June, so when I go to the gym, I treat it like a professional sport. Every day I train as hard as the last and try to surpass my abilities from the week before. Also, to achieve a great physique your diet has to be clean and pristine! I eat 7 meals per day, spaced out 2 hours apart from each other. This ensures that my metabolism is firing at maximum capacity throughout the day. By doing this, your body will not store the food you eat because it doesn’t need to as it has a steady supply. When you only eat a couple of times a day your body recognizes that as starvation and subsequently stores every nutrient that you eat in the event that there is a food shortage. This is a survival mechanism for our bodies that has been present since the dawn of our existence for when food was scarce and that primitive man didn’t starve to death. I don’t eat bread, pasta, dairy, sweets, or any of that stuff. I only eat egg whites, chicken, ground turkey, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, veggies, Ezekiel bread (gluten free), and occasionally red meat (only on my off season training). I alternate combinations of these foods 7 times a day, 7 days a week. This diet combined with vigorous exercise is how you obtain a nice set of abs and a great physique .

7. So how exactly did you become involved into modeling for the book cover of Kimberly Knight? Secondly, did you read any of her books and what is your opinion of it?

A couple of months after I did the shoot with Gabriella, I received a message from my ex-girlfriend Lauren who does fitness modeling. She had heard about the auditions for Finding Spencer and asked me if I would be interested in applying for the cover model. I agreed and was somewhat doubtful, but she was kind enough to put in a good word for me and submit my information.
I never thought that I would ever be chosen to be the one on the cover! That kind of stuff is like the lottery or gambling to me. I stay away from it because I feel that the chance is so slim, why bother and get let down? I was so preoccupied with school, that I let the thought leave my mind so that I could stay focused and thought to myself, “I doubt I will get picked, so why get my hopes up?” One day I received a message from Liz at E. Marie Photography asking if I would be interested in assuming the male character Brandon for an Amazon Bestselling Author, I said yes, even more excited, but still doubtful.
I had to submit photos of myself, which was hard to do because I only had portrait shots from Gabriella, so I had to take some mirror “selfies” (which I hate doing) to show Kimberly that I maintain a fit and healthy body! To my greatest surprise they chose me! I was in complete disbelief. I later discovered from Kimberly and Liz that they were having a hard time finding the perfect male model, so they had to actively search one out.
I feel honored that after all of their auditions and searching that they chose me, rather immediately, in fact. I’m very hard on myself and strive to be the very best in everything that I do, so having that mentality can sometimes make you feel like you are not adequate or good enough because that is the fuel that keeps my fire burning. This was a great reminder for me that hard work pays off and I have shifted my mentality towards something different now .
I have not had a chance to read her books yet because I have so much material to get through for school that I don’t have time to do anything else, especially with training for a physique competition this coming June. When the semester ends, I will be reading all of her books after she sends me my autograph printed copies!!!
I do know a ton about the character Brandon though, as I wanted to make sure that I knew what kind of person he was, and if I could relate. Kimberly has sent me some excerpts that have helped me gain a good image of him and I can say that I’m so similar to him that it is scary. Kimberly agrees and we both think it must have been fate that brought this whole operation together!

8. Are you in fact an avid reader? If so, what is your preferred genre?

Unfortunately, my lifestyle does not allow for much recreational reading mainly because I’m in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. I have so much material to read on a daily basis, that it makes extracurricular reading impossible. Training for my physique competition takes all of the rest of the time that I have. I can’t wait to start getting into reading for pleasure again!

9. How can fans stay up-to-date on all of your latest news?

Fans can stay up to date mainly though my fan page on Facebook:

I’m very active with my page and post new and upcoming news, events, and photo shoots as soon as they come into fruition. If I obtain new links to more modeling sites, I will post them through my fan page! If you like my work, it would mean a lot to me for you to stop in and like my page!  I work very hard at everything that I do and will continue to do so!

10. Last but not least - something our readers are probably dying to know... Are you still single?

Haha! Well, your readers will be happy to know that I’m SINGLE ;)
