How far would you go to save
everything you ever loved?
Kaliel was warned about her love
for the Ferryman. One day he will marry the land and leave Avristar forever.
She doesn't listen, and because of what she is-- a Flame-- one of nine
apocalyptic weapons, she sparks a war. In a desperate attempt to save her home
and her love, Kaliel tries to awaken Avred, not knowing she may have to make
the ultimate sacrifice.
Kaliel is just a young girl, but a persons destiny doesn't wait for the right time. When the great oak gives her her parable, she and everyone else knows she isn't like all the others. There is something special about her. Not that she is the only one.
Krishani cannot get anything right. He is clumsy and overall not a good student. In the way of their kind both he and Kaliel must marry the land, but once they meet each other will that still be in their plans?
There is more than love, parables, and powers involved in this book there is also a great threat. With crazy parables and strange dreams, Kaliel and Krishani may be the answer to it all or even the beginning.
I really enjoyed reading or rather hearing this audiobook. It was very well written and narrated, however the voice dialect and volume switch without cause to a different pitch when it wasn't meant to. At first I feared I wouldn't be able to imagine so vividly with audiobook as I do with my kindle, but when it started the images in my head just began to form themselves. I really enjoyed reading this installment of the tale and cannot wait to read more! Although I swear the author is already making broke just from how many books are in this one series. Highly recommended!
