The Past…

As childhood sweethearts, Brian and Melissa's plans were simple: finish school, get married, and live happily ever after. Unfortunately, life didn’t go as planned. Melissa went away to college, and Brian married her best friend.

The Present…

Brian is a man dedicated to his job as a cop. He has a wife Julie, who he finds out has been cheating on him. He also has 2 children with his wife.

Melissa was Brian's childhood sweetheart, however he ended up marrying her best friend, his now wife. Melissa has returned home 17 years later to be closer to her family, and she has finally forgiven Brian and Julie.

Something terrible happens and Melissa finds herself back in Brian's life. Will they get the happy ever after they had both wanted all those years ago? Or will events transpire to keep them apart?

This book is action packed, lots of twists that keep you guessing. The writing was wonderful, it flowed effortlessly and kept me gripped.

I read this as a standalone ,however it is the 3rd book in the series. I will definitely mark the 2 previous books to read. A great book that grabs you from start to finish.
