Lord have mercy was I in for a wild ride. One I both want to forget but never will it's woven into my brain like an poison ivy. This story will take you to places you have never being, make you question your morals and possibly your own sanity but it will suck you in like a vacuum and you will grow to love the living dark day lights out of it. And you know why Pepper is just that good (good is too modest of a word BRILLIANT more fits the bill ) at writing something deviant and twisted and dark and making us love every single work.
The genius thing about this book it's a classic dark in true Pepper Winters style but I laughed my ass of also for some parts which is the strangest thing to say regarding to a dark dark romance much less one written by Pepper Winters. But it effing works like a charm every single time she fell down I laughed among all the dark and twisted. The leading lady or should I day the sacrifice suffers from Vertigo she falls over at lest once per day and it pisses Jethro the hell off.
"Have you ever dealt with an upset stomach or a tension headache? Waving my hand in his face, I snapped, it's the same thing. My body doesn't handle unsettling circumstances well. Get over it or let me the hell go."

Nila Weaver is a brilliant fashion designer with her own fashion line with every fashion item imaginable, Ms Weaver is from a long line of family in the textile industry, she has history and pedigree and she has an over protective daddy and an even more protective twin brother. Her entire life she has being sheltered and kept away from boys. Something inside of her that has left dormant and even hidden from herself is set free and old timid shy falling all over the place Nila is long gone now replaced by a very sexy, sexual, somewhat twisted phoenix and this new little Phoenix will do just about anything to achieve he new freedom including taking on an impossible task of running but Ms Weaver is feisty, and the new phoenix is fearless so so ran......
When I read I read not only because I love books but only that I read in search of that high that indescribable rush I get when a book just has this something that is just above and beyond the standard it has the special something that cannot be out into word that satisfy that book junkie inside that tame the proverbial beast within and this book does that it satisfy every.....I have no words for it but just know this book will blow your freaking mind.
Pepper Winters has done a spectacular job delivering another mouthwatering, dark, twisted perfection that will take you to places you could never have imagined existed.
I love Pepper and everything thing she writes is fantastic beyond a five star 1 2 3 4 5 stars is just not enough to reward this wonderful piece of literature.

ONE - Nina's POV
“Huge disappointment, Ms. Weaver.” His cold glare sent a snowstorm wiping away the bonfire in my belly. “I’m done playing games, so cut the bullshit. Time to begin the day.” His voice gave no room for interpretation. A cold draft shot down my back.
My brief reprieve from debts and horrible Hawks was over. I’d been shown something I desperately wanted, but denied it because I failed to please him.
“You could teach me…show me how…” I couldn’t make eye contact with him. Mortification painted my cheeks for both admitting I was clueless and asking a monster to coach me.
Jethro laughed. “You think that will save you from what’s coming? Was that your little plan? To make me fuck you in the hopes I might feel something for you?”

TWO - Jethro's POV
I stood up slowly, clicking my tongue. “Ah, ah, ah, Ms. Weaver. Don’t take that tone with me. You’re the failure. You’re the prisoner. You take what I give you. You do not assume to have any say or authority. That includes listening to everything I deem important to tell you.” Ghosting to a stop in front of her, I murmured, “Is that quite understood?”
I flexed my muscles, welcoming back the soothing chillness of control. I hadn’t liked stepping outside my confines of civility. Things got messy when silence was disrupted. Things got rushed when tempers rose and curses flowed.
And I didn’t want to rush her undoing. I wanted to savour it. Devour it.
