REVIEW ~ BE MY DECEMBER By Rachel Brookes
December 16th, a cold winter’s night, four years ago.
The night my innocence was stolen, the night I made the mistake of saying no—a mistake I’d never make again.
The dream of a ‘happily ever after' was now a locked away myth. I promised myself that I’d never return to the place of my worst nightmare, that I’d never let anyone get close, but then again, I never thought I’d meet someone like him.
The intense, confident and beautiful Ky Crawford.
I had no plans to become someone’s Prince Charming.
I couldn’t be. I refused to be. My plan was simple—do whatever it takes to correct my biggest mistake, my one regret that now controlled my life.
I was on track. I had plans, but then everything changed when I saw her—the girl in the red jacket, the girl who I was told couldn’t say no.
The reserved yet stunning Eden Rivers.
A girl who can’t say no.
A guy who craves redemption.
A chance encounter?
It all comes down to this.
I knew the exact moment I’d become a ‘yes’ girl.

I loved this book, their back stories are heartbreaking but their present and future story is breathtaking. I was completely lost in this book and I cried tears of sadness and joy. This book is an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. Ky was a very special man, he would gladly give Eden the world and he will definitely make you swoon. Eden was a very strong capable woman who was dealt a rough deal. Individually these 2 characters shimmer but together they shine and their story is beautiful
Eden’s life changed in that 1 night, the night she was raped was also the night she became a ‘YES’ girl. Leaving NY to get away from it all she moves on with her life but she is still very much broken. Eden is giving a great opportunity to work a job she loves but the only down side is its back in NY the place she has tried to forget.
Ky is a broken man and since the horrible moment of his past he hasn’t been living, he has mearly been going through the motions. He works non stop and has very little time for woman. He was in love once but he never had the chance of telling the lucky girl.
When Eden and Ky meet they have an instant connection and the chemistry is WOW but Ky struggles with the fact that Eden is a ‘yes’ girl and he never knows if she is being true to herself or just afraid of the consequences.
One question…”BE MY DECEMBER?” changes everything for these two.
Can they really become friends?
Will they ever reveal their pasts that haunt them and if so will they be able to deal with it?
What happens at the end of their agreement????
