SYNOPSIS:

WARNING: Author believes in soul mates and insta-love, proceed with caution if you're not a romantic at heart.

Love's greatest cure is salvation of one’s soul.

Shane Sherman has a problem. Well, two, actually. One has auburn hair and pale-green eyes, and the other? . . . Is a secret. One he doesn't want to talk about. But all that changes when Sage comes to town.

Sage Sloan is being stalked. So she runs to Trails End and the bravest man her sister said she'd ever met. Sergeant Shane Sherman.

Sparks fly, tempers flare, and bears misbehave as Shane and Sage find a way to coexist in Trails End. That is, until a killer comes to call. Then all bets are off. Shane isn't about to lose his saving grace.

This is the third and final book in the Reason Series. I highly recommend you read books one and two before "A Reason To Live."

Rated R for sexual content and language and M for Maxine.

MY REVIEW

This is a book that can easily be divided into two parts. Part one would be about despair and stubbornness and part two about finding a reason to fight back and simply learning to live again whilst being surrounded by all your loved ones.

“You want a perfect storm?” Shane asked “Yes. A beautiful storm that leaves me gasping for air, my feet searching for the ground beneath them and love so profound, time stands still in the face of it.”

There is no such thing as a perfect storm. Storms are messy and unpredictable, yet they are beautiful in their own way. That’s exactly what the story of Shane and Sage is about. To finding beauty in a seemingly hopeless situation.

“I’m gonna breathe you in,” he whispered in my ear, “and be your anchor, your protector. I’m gonna fold myself around you so you’re never alone.”

Talk about an all consuming epic love.

Like I previously mentioned, part one was highly emotionally charged and part two was more about the fun and trying to enjoy live again, slowly but surely.

The writing style was a little different from what I’m used to. Male pov was written in third person pov and the female in first. For those of you that know me, you know that third person pov is a pet peeve of mine. Yet somehow this book made me push through and I actually got past that and enjoyed the story.

Lastly, here are two songs that I believe depicted some core emotions of the book:
> Never say never by The Fray
> Bring me to life by Evanescence
