This was a sweet romance story filled with drama and passion. The characters were just like everyday people dealing with everyday shit. Mallory was the perfect heroine, carrying a little extra weight, dealing with self doubt but also being true and real, she kicked ass. Brent was just your typical boy who took on the role of a football player and played it up more, arrogant and tormenting people to make him look big.
Mallory hasn't has the easiest of life. Bought up by her single mother and having issues with her self esteem and weight were just some of her problems. Plagued by bullies since in kindergarten Mallory has has alot to deal with. Now in High School Mallory finds herself still dealing with the bullies and but she has fallen in love with one of her tormentors and he doesn't have a clue.
Brent is a high school footballer, sexy and arrogant. He bullied Mallory for years but secretly fell for her at the same time. Brent is all front, his father expects him to be with a certain type of person and Mallory definitely doesn't fit the bill.
When their true feelings are revealed, we get their story. How they traveled the road from enemies, to friends then lovers was a beautiful transformation but never came easy. This book took real true life experiences that we could all connect with and turned it around to make a 5 star read!!
