He's too hot for words.
Mia
Alex Lawson might as well be the hottest book boyfriend imaginable. A fun, romantic, possessive, panty-melting man. And the best part?
He’s real.
For a girl like me—a slightly awkward book addict—Alex is a dream come true, straight off the pages of my favorite romance novels. But our story is turning into a whirlwind romance—the kind that only exists in books.
And I wonder if we’re heading toward our own happily ever after, or if he’s too good to be true.
Alex
Here’s the thing. I’m not a bad guy. Lying to Mia wasn’t part of the plan.
Finding success as a romance author using a female pen name wasn’t part of the plan either. But sometimes life takes unexpected turns.
Like realizing the woman you’re falling for is your alter-ego’s online best friend.
Online, she thinks I’m a woman named Lexi. In person, she knows I’m all man. I want to worship her body and claim every inch of her.
But if she finds out the truth, I could lose everything.

Lauren's Review
***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review - Lauren / Scandalous Book Blog***
If like me you feel your kindle is an extension of your arm then this story will ring true with you. Once the story got going I couldn’t put it down, I felt a connection to this book like it could have been written about myself or one of my friends it felt so true to life.
Mia is a self proclaimed book worm and loves romance books. She loves them so much she started her own blog. Under the name of bookworm babe, Mia remains anonymous and chats to some of the authors she reviews books for. She becomes good friends with one of her favourite authors Lexi Logan, with whom she starts to share everything with. Mia has an awful dating history which her sister thinks is due to her comparing real men to the men in her books or her ‘book boyfriends’. Luckily she has a friend in Lexi to tell her secrets to or does she.
Alex thinks relationships aren’t for him. He’s been there, done that and got divorced! Writing has become Alex’s escape but he just can’t seem to finish his book. That’s until his sister encourages him to start writing romance books under a female pen name which it turns out he is amazing at and becomes a best seller. With family stresses requiring a steady income Alex keeps his job a secret and hopes his books will continue to sell.
Mia and Alex’s worlds collide and they both can’t believe their luck. Falling in love quickly it all seems to good to be true, maybe it is. Will their romance blossom as it does in their books or will real life be a reality check.
I felt that the first few chapters in this book were slow paced but once the story got going I really enjoyed it. This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved her style of writing, the characters are engaging and I was swept up in to their story. Towards the end of the book I kept checking the authors name as it felt like it was written by Alex himself! Its fair to say I was captivated. If you are looking to escape with a easy read this books for you.
Claire Kingsley writes smart, sexy romances. She's in love with love, and finds inspiration in the stories of broken people who find love and healing together—with a generous dose of steam.
She can't imagine life without coffee, her Kindle, and the sexy heroes who inhabit her imagination. She's living out her own happily ever after in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and three kids.
