It was a privilege to receive an ARC...however my words will not do this book justice.
We all have that 1 author who no matter what the minute their new book hits your kindle, the rest of the world ceases to exist...Well for me that's Kristy!!!
I fell in love with Kristy's writing when she gave us The Driven Series and Colton Donovan and I also fell in love with him too. As always going into a new series after putting another on a pedestal is a worrying time...But there was no need to worry.
Once again Kristy has written another amazing story with all the feels and another leading man to fall in love with.
Fast paced and full of emotion, this story is a must read!
I was hooked from the very first word until the very last.
Easton's career is on the line. Baseball is his life, all he has ever known but after a terrible injury, his future is uncertain. With a club who have given him a deadline and a father who is demanding, he knows he needs the best of the best...So when Scout is the one sent to make his dreams come true and get him back on top, he is left a little dubious.
Scout might not be the best, as that title would fall to her father. However she is the best right now. With her father being unable to follow through with his true wish, she picks up the slack. She needs Easton to get back into the game as much as he does. She knows that she has a lot riding on The Player, she just doesn't expect The Player to have such an effect on her.
They need each other more than they both know and for more reasons than they both admit.
Damn this couple have chemistry. Scout puts up her walls, all she has ever known is loss and she refuses to loose this time round.
Easton will do everything in his power to bring them walls down.
With secrets and the unknown stacked against them can this couple weather the storm???
#2 Cant come quick enough, I cant believe that's how it ended but then I should have known Kristy wrote it after all!!!

WOW !! Where to start with this review ? I was so excited and honored to receive this book and couldn't wait to start it. This author has never failed me before and expectations were high and I expected nothing less than brilliance from K. I was blown away with this story, from the moment you read the first chapter to the last I was completely smitten !!
Easton is Baseball royalty, one of the best players and HOT. His career is flying high and he is following his in fathers footsteps as a legendary player, that is until he is badly injured, the injury threatens everything he has worked for. An injury that could and would end most players careers. He's in need of the best doctor there is if he has any chance of recovering,,, what he got was Scout.
Scout's father is one of the best doctors around and she has a standard to maintain and working with Easton could make her career and give her father his wish, there is a lot at stake and she needs to keep a clear head and a hard heart around theplayer, she has seen it all before and can handle the players but what she didn't expect was Easton!!
Easton and Scout are completely relying on each other , Easton needs to be back on the field and Scout needs to win thecontract to be the teams doctor and grant her dying father his last wish.
Completely aware of the chemistry between them Easton is determined to soften that hard heart of Scouts, Scout has got so much to loose if people were to know think there was more to their relationship, it could ruin everything.
I absolutely loved Easton and Scout !! Easton is insanely hot with a soft side that makes you fall in love with him, Scout has been through so much and thinks she is cursed, she looses everyone that is close to her, so her motto is just don't let anyone get too close, struggling to come to terms with her fathers illness is leaving her heart open and ready for Easton to swoop in and wipe her of her feet.
The flow of the story is perfect, the banter between the players will have you laughing and the journey of Easton and Scout has you rooting for them !! Their sizzling chemistry is amazing and the sex scenes are HOT HOT HOT. So many emotions throughout the book, it will have you laughing and crying.
K. Bromberg has done it again with The Player, my all time favourite series is the Driven Series and really wanted this to be up there with Driven and I can honestly say it is !! Although making us wait till June for the next book is really really mean, I need it now ! I know its going to be worth waiting for but I feel at a loss now I have finished reading this, my advise would be to take your time reading it ( if you can !! ) as once its finished,,, well I will let you decide how you feel !!
New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow.
Since publishing her first book in 2013, K. has sold over one million copies of her books and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over twenty-five times.
In April, she’ll release The Player, the first in a two-book sports romance series (The Catch, book 2, will be released late June), with many more already outlined and ready to be written.
She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media or sign up for her newsletter to stay up to date on all her latest releases and sales
