This was a first S. Nelson for me and I enjoyed it but if I'm honest it didn't pack the punch I was expecting - this is only my opinion though and I do like a book with a lot more drama and grit to it. The main story line was good and there some very hot characters. the pace of the story worked well and written is a way that kept me intrigued to know what was going to unfold. I'm sure I wont be the only one to say that I could feel the connection with Max's character but I did struggle with Alina a little and found myself wanting to know more about Alina's best friend.
From the minute Max spotted Alina he knew he wanted her, she was the girl that he couldn't have though. Alina was being pushed to marry a guy she hardly knew and didn't really have any connection with but her father is a very influential man who was used to getting what he wanted.
Alina knows the fight she is going to need to put up if she wants to go against her father, working in his law firm she could have a lot to loose. She is loosing the fight against Max though and doesn't know how much longer she can resist his advances. People are going to get hurt and its not just the expected that happens

S. Nelson grew up with a love of reading and a very active imagination, never putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard until 2013. Her passion to create was overwhelming and within a few months she’d written her first novel, Stolen Fate. When she isn’t engrossed in creating one of the many stories rattling around inside her head, she loves to read and travel as much as she can. She lives in the Northeast with her husband and two dogs, enjoying the ever changing seasons.
