Jake “Harry” Harrison is everything that Haven Daniels loathes, he has money, confidence and good looks. She assumes he comes from a good background with a

 trust fund which is the opposite of her life and as such she hates that he seems to have it all.

I love Louise Bay’s writing style and her Empire State Series is one of my go to books

 to re-read when I need a pick me up. I was seriously worried that she wouldn’t be able to top the wonderful Ethan Scott but I should have known better her writing just keeps getting better and better. 

As usual her characterization is excellent and you will find yourself cheering these two on as they struggle to find their way. Haven is feisty and calls it exactly as it is, you will find yourself laughing out loud at her treatment of Harry, she has no filter what so ever and calls a spade a spade !

Although this was a novella it was just the right size for me as I couldn’t put it down and had to finish it in one sitting even though that meant I was reading til 3am on a Saturday morning. Please bring on book two as I doubt I will

 get enough of Harry / Jake.
