I thought I was in love, I thought I was happy, I thought everything was perfect.

But then I found out my husband of six years was having an affair. I knew it had to be a dream, but it wasn’t. So now I’m left at square one, only now I’m a single mom also.

Dating isn’t easy but it’s especially not easy for a single mom of twin boys, with a soon to be ex-husband who’s still around. I mean what else could happen?

True, it doesn't go the way I planned and I don't end up with the man I had planned on. But then again, that's why they say to 'expect the unexpected.'

My overall rating of this series is 4 star, I would love to have giving it a 5 but the cheating element was just something that didn’t sit well with me. However the story was excellent I loved it.

Emily (book 1)

Emily’s marriage isn’t at its best if she is honest, there is a large divide between them but it’s only when she discovers her husbands affair that she realized just how bad things have got. Of all the thing to happen Emily never expected this!

With nothing else to do but leave she packs up her boys and their things and moves out. With things up in the air and not knowing where things went wrong or why, she has to re discover herself. This comes in the form of a one night stand…something that doesn’t sit well with her, next she tries to date her boss who turns out to be as much of a douch as her ex husband.

 Then comes Travis, her husband’s cousin and someone who has always carried a flame for her but sadly missed his chance all those years ago. There has always been a pull between them but now they are free agents they find themselves trying but at what cost. Then her ex Connor decides he has made a massive mistake and wants her back…what Next???

This book was full of drama and suspense. It is definitely an emotional mix bag I found myself laughing crying and screaming at the characters. I devoured this book within a couple of hours and was so glad book 2 was waiting on my kindle!!!


Unexpected (book 2)

Emily’s life is a mess and things get worse before they get better.

Stuck between 2 men, her past and her present but who will she choose for her future and forever?

With Emily’s ex Connor back on the scene and trying to win her back
Travis isn’t all that he seems and something isn’t right
A 3rd man is thrown into the mix!!!

This is a perfect ending to a great series. There are a lot of ups and down for all the characters, and I found myself screaming at them more than one. This book was an emotional rollercoaster that didn’t let up until the very last word.

WILL Emily finally get her HEA?????
