Absolutely Fantastic read that kept me entertained and glued to my seat. I was intrigued with the synopsis with this book, so the minute it hit my kindle I dived right in. Hooked from the first word to the very last one. This story was fast paced and more complex than I first believed. This book is told in multiple POV and also we flitter between Past and Present. The depth and emotion in this book oozed from the pages, I felt the angst and pain for all involved.
A love triangle that will leave your head in a spin and your heart bursting.
Both Kale and Killian had been part of Maverick's life from a young age.Maverick fell in love with Killian hard and fast. In the beginning he always took a step back but being unable to fight the attraction any longer they embark on a secret affair. When Killian leaves town for work, Maverick feels Killian pulling away, however she never contemplated what happened next.
Killian is back in town but he hasn't come back for her...He is now engaged to be married to Mavericks sister, leaving Maverick distraught and with a broken heart.
Kale has always loved Maverick, he even went as far as telling his older brother how he felt. He knows that Maverick is in love with his brother but he cant walk away. When Killian comes back to town engaged, Kale sees this as his opportunity to get the girl of his dreams. Kale Knows Maverick isnt in love with him but he feels as if he has enough love for the both of them.
With her sister already married to Killian its now Maverick and Kale's turn to say I do. Maverick loves Kale, he is her best friend but she isnt in love with him.
Over time Maverick realises little things then when tragedy strikes secret and lies are unearthed and Maverick has a big decision to make.
Will she make the right one though?
I’m just a regular ol’ Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It’s a vicous cycle. I’m a huge creature of habit, but I’ll tell you I’m flexible. I read every single day and if I don’t get a chance…watch the hell out, I’m a raving bitch. My iPad and me: BFFs. I’m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker. I hate, hate, hate spiders, telemarketers, liver, acne, winter and loose hairs that fall down my shirt (don’t ask, it’s a thing).
