Excerpt:
I make a disgusted sound in my throat. “I am totally fucked up by what my mother did to me,” I say, still aghast at his reaction to my story.
“Fucked up?” he questions, confused. “Why? Because you’re shy? Because you’re private? Because you don’t like to be vulnerable? Because you strive to achieve great things to prove you’re good enough to be worth something?”
The way he instantly knows me makes me very uncomfortable. I freeze, wide eyed and unable to speak for a moment. How could he see me so clearly? How did this connection between us go so deeply? It was disturbing to me, the understanding between us. It’s deeper than even the physical pull between us, as if the air that separates our bodies is electrically charged. I had worked my whole life to push people away, building up this wall of protection. And yet here is this man, tearing it down and seeing who I am through all the bullshit. Maybe I'm not as good at hiding myself as I thought.
“Yeah,” I finally muttered. “Those reasons are pretty much why.”
“It makes you beautiful. The things you say it created in you... are what attract me to you in this unbelievable way. You’re timid, shy, brilliant, and completely unaware of how amazing you are.”
I go statue still. My heart feels like it’s going to explode at his words. How did our conversation change course so quickly? I don’t know if I’m prepared for this. “Amazing?” I repeat in disbelief.
He smiles a catlike smile, like he’s hunting again. Immediately, my breathing increases. “Oh yes. When I first saw your eyes from the stage,” he leans closer to me. I want to both back away and lean toward him at the same time. “I wanted to make them roll back into your head. I wanted to grab your round hips and pull you close to me.” He crouches on the couch, one leg on and one leg off, leaning over me. With his face against my cheek again, he whispers in my ear, “You. Are. Breathtaking.”

REVIEW
So Jeremy my troubled genius.....does a really stupid thing....leave the girl he loves without a word of warning
every three has a root the questions that were left unanswered from book one are finally answered and let me tell ya....shocker we all wanted to know why such a talented and brilliant man would use drugs now we know and its not pretty. I love the way both books are written each word blending and flowing perfectly in a beautiful synchronize harmony.
Love is irrational and I did not have problem with what she done I knew she would, she loves him too much to not want to take away his pain and hurt and that is the best way she knows how.
I felt sorry for Scott but he must haveknow he did not have her heart compleetly sweet nice guy and all.
"we gasp together, adjusting to the familiar feeling. We fit together perfectly, like our bodies were made for each other."~Dylan
"Now I have to go home and face my sweet and attentive boyfriend. while I am still dripping with the remnants of my infidelity."

EXCERPT
Overcome with emotion, I walk around him, keeping my arms around his waist. I stop when I’m standing in front of him. I look up at him, his hands covering his face, until he drops them to his side. He looks down at me, his eyes deliciously exposed. I understand that this moment is another trial for me- one I’m about to fail.
I stand on my toes and kiss him passionately. I release his waist and place my hands in his hair. He tastes better than I could ever have remembered and when we connect, my entire body tingles. It’s like he is breathing life back into me.
He’s still for a moment, shocked into rigidness. As my mouth begins to move against his, he starts to move his lips in synchronization. He wraps his arms delicately around me, but we’ve been apart too long for gentle. I push my mouth harder into his and wrap my fingers tighter in his hair.
His breathing increases and his mouth moves faster with mine. He grabs the back of my shirt roughly, flipping me around and slamming me back against the wall. I moan and wrap my legs around him. He drops his hands to hold me under my ass.
“Damn you, Dylan,” he says, growling the words in between kisses. “Damn you for making me love you so much. I need you. I need you now. I’ve never needed anything more in my life than I need you right now.” His voice breaks.
I understand now, in a way, his addiction. I understand having the pull to something you know is probably bad for you. You know it will probably end horribly. But it makes you feel so good that how can you deny it? I guess that makes me an addict, too. Maybe not of drugs, but to something that has the potential to be just as damaging to me and those around me.
The difference between Jeremy and I is that while he’s beating his addiction, I’m succumbing to mine.
