A wicked lie had me gripped from beginning to end. At first I thought Shae
and Allen’s story was going to be a beautiful college sweetheart’s love story
that was going to be torn apart by adultery and lie….But I was wrong on so many
levels. I was definitely taken on an emotional ride with this book from feeling
their love, loss and anger, once I had finished this book it took me some time
to deal with the twist I was just thrown by and get my feelings in check!
Shae and Allen Lockwood have been together since he found her lost on
campus, their attraction and bond was instant and after being together for 7
years they finally married and Shae was under the impression she would never
feel lost again for Allen was her home.
With their 1st wedding anniversary coming up thing have been
going good for the couple, Shae has her job at the school whilst Allen works at
their vine yard where they also live and Date night every week their passion is
still very much alive. That’s not to say that they haven’t had their struggles
along the way, Allen’s family were not supportive of the relationship and hate
Shae but Allen doesn’t care as he says He chose her and she is perfect for him.
Then Tragedy strike and Shae find herself having to live a life she
never expected with the only support coming from Allen’s best friend Justin.
This book broke my heart from the beginning and shattered it at the end;
I just hope the following book helps heal it!
