Romance novelist Lucy Figueroa lives a life of the imagination. While her stories are filled with fictional alpha male heroes, her real life is filled with nothing but Mr. Wrongs. As a sassy, strong, single mom, she doesn't need anyone... except maybe a new book idea. And to forgive herself for the mistakes of the past.

Lucy's sexy new neighbor, Jake Slausen, looks like one of her characters come to life. While he fits the heartthrob part, he doesn't act it, too distracted by his cell phone and his job for any relationship. Damaged by his childhood, he's ignored his true calling and goes through his days on autopilot...until he meets Lucy.

First drawn together by chemistry, then by a fierce need to protect each other even from themselves, will Jake and Lucy learn to accept their pasts or will they convince themselves that happily ever afters only exists in romance novels?

Author Bio

Leslie McAdam is a California girl who loves romance, Little Dude, and well-defined abs. She lives in a drafty old farmhouse on a small orange tree farm in Southern California with her husband and two small children. Leslie always encourages her kids to be themselves - even if it means letting her daughter wear leopard print from head to toe. An avid reader from a young age, she will always trade watching TV for reading a book, unless it's Top Gear. Or football. Leslie is employed by day but spends her nights writing about the men you fantasize about. She's unapologetically sarcastic and notoriously terrible at comma placement (that's what editors are for!).

Always up for a laugh, Leslie tries to see humor in all things. When she's not in the writing cave you'll find her fangirling over Beck, camping with her family, or mixing up oil paints to depict her love of outdoors on canvas.

All the Waters of the Earth (Giving You..., #3)#All the Waters of the Earth by Leslie McAdam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I discovered Leslie when I read and reviewed a previous story earlier this year. I had enjoyed her writing style, creative work with amazing characters. I was slightly nervous to start this one. Mainly because liking a book is subjective and I'm also afraid to not relate to it. I cannot write anything but honest reviews because I find that my feelings show up on paper.
Looking back, I'm not quite sure anymore why I was nervous to begin with because this story went above and beyond my expectations. I can safely say that this story deserves an above 5 star review. If a book can make me cry, well it deserves " all the stars in the sky"

ARC of All the Waters of the Earth by Leslie McAdam provided in exchange for an honest spoiler free review.

Yes, this is a love story with plenty of steamy scenes that are just scorching hot. But underneath all that there was a powerful message that I abide to very strongly. LIVE an HEALTHY, HAPPY LIFE and to the FULLEST. One never knows when it can be all taken away in a blink of an eye. Home is where the person feels loved and safe.

This story is about Lucy, a single mother of a 12 y.o boy who's living her love life through her book characters that she writes about. She's a great mom, strong, fierce and sassy. She meets her next door neighbor Jake who lives for his work. That's all he knows, he takes no time for himself. Slowly together they will balance each other out in an healthier way of living.

It was so beautifully written that I cried of course. I love storylines that involve kids because they sweetened up the story. This story involved more of the flawed, damaged characters. Jake from his childhood upbringing and Lucy from being pregnant at 17. A story of a more serious nature. The characters that were just superbly crafted to fit this type of story. As it unfolds, I could see the characters changing to fit what this story was really about. Jake started out being a self centered workaholic and Lucy hid behind makeup and clothes. They were multi dimensioned that generated emotions that leaped from the pages and latched themselves to me. The story flowed well and was paced just perfectly. There were no unnecessary details.

This story grabbed my undivided attention from the very first page read to the very last one because it's very addicting. It made me feel all kinds of emotions but left me with a light heart and huge smile. What's great about writing up a review for an AMAZING book is that I get to prolong this journey for a few more hours.

This is actually the third book in the Giving You...Series. It can easily be read as a standalone because there is just one scene where the previous characters from the two previous books play a small part. Told in Lucy's POV only but I could very well feel and understand what Jake was going through. I strongly recommend reading this story. It will be worth the readers precious time and money. Book 1 and 2 come highly recommend also.
