OMG!!! D.T. Dyllin always blows me away with her books.

I love love love Sam. However she can be extremely clueless when the answer is practically slapping her in the face. Protecting the ones she loves, she embraces death and she loves it. Their love for it kinda made me wanna try myself... so not an empath though. Nor could I kill anyone to get it.

Then there is Austin. He is the reason for this madness right? It was him following orders that got him into this mess. Malcolm want revenge, but knows he cannot kill Sam now. Next best thing make her into the very thing he is. Little did they all know there were consequences for them all.

"Breathe in his last breath, knowing that your chest will continue to rise and fall. Feel his heart beat for the last time, even as yours speeds up with excitement taste his remorse- his regret for all the things he's leaving behind. Feel his death completely, knowing you'll go on and he will cease to be. Drink down the bitter ambrosia of knowing death, yet not in the true send of it. Feel it all with me Sam, and grow to love it like I do."

Embracing death is truly amazing. I swear I was literally stuck in this book and couldn't get sleep because it took over me. It is written in Sam's POV, but has a few areas where Nixon tells a few parts. Let me say I still hate Nixon!!! Can't get enough of Austin. If he goes down, I will so be going with him. D.T. Dyllin always does an amazing job with her books. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I feel like I may go crazy until I get it.

Feeling Death (Book 1)

Samantha Bevans is having the best sex of her life—but it's not with her husband. Fortunately for her marriage, the affair is all in her mind. Isn't it? As an empath, she senses other people's emotions. But her connection to the man with the the chiseled face and haunting eyes seems so real.

There's no time for fantasies with a serial killer loose in Pittsburgh. The killer is targeting dancers at a strip club where Samantha used to bartend, back when drugs were the only cure for the torment of her abilities. As a member of a special task force, Samantha uses her talents to sense the victims’ final thoughts. Just when she thought the case was complex enough, she discovers one of the victims was thinking about her fantasy man when she died.

Who can Samantha trust when she can’t trust her own mind? An empath feels the emotional environment around her…and Samantha is surrounded by death.

Feeling death is absolutely amazing.

I so did not expect any of the twist in this book. I rarely find a book that can get me this entertained.

Sam's life if perfect. She has a great job, the perfect husband, and yet something is amiss. She keeps dreaming of being with another man, but somehow it feels so extremely real. When she stumbles upon a victim that's last memory is of her dream man, she begins questioning her own sanity.

Feeling death is written from Sam's point of view. I absolutely cannot get enough of it. I love how she isn't some amazing empath that just has no issues of her own. Instead she has struggles just like anyone else. Her character is pretty awesome as well as the others. I also love Austin because he sounds oh so yummy. I do hate that he may be more trained with abilities, but yet still allows them to be his weakness. All together I just don't like Nixon. I highly recommend this book. I truly loved it!

Two of my favorite Quotes

" I thought you weren't going to probe around in my mind without my permission anymore."
"I couldn't help it. You were practically broadcasting again."

"For some reason, I had the urge to antagonize him, and why not? That's what he was doing to me, wasn't it? Karma was a bitch, and today I was that bitch."
