The Centaur world is rocked as news spreads of the Lost Herd, Camille's existence, and her Centaur protector. A death order against Camille's father and family sends all into hiding.

Camille and Drake leave the country pursued by the Lost Herd as well as by Centaur Council enforcers. Camille's twin brother Cameron is manipulated by the Council Head and is quickly becoming her newest enemy.

Amid unexpected new protectors, enemies, and romances, Camille and Drake make their plans to travel to Africa to confront the Centaur Council. They hope acceptance of Camille as Chiron's heir, yet knowing that her link to the Lost Herd could require them to kill or to be killed.

Author’s take on the leading lady:

Blood Debt is about a girl who is truly alone in the world, Camille. She had grown up with a single parent, no siblings, and no extended family. When her mother dies, Camille feels her world collapse in on her, and her single lifeline is the knowledge that somewhere, she has a father. In that same situation any father would be a blessing, but she discovers (along with the reader) that she has an entire family waiting to welcome her. A family her mother had carefully hidden Camille from her entire life.

Is Camille based on anyone you know?

The characters’ personalities in my books are absolutely based on real people. Not the circumstances the characters find themselves in, but the personality traits – yes. Most of my girl friends are incredibly strong, intelligent, successful women, so Camille is also a formidable character. I like to think of her as a culmination of about five AMAZING women in my own life. Camille could easily be your sister, cousin or friend and if she weren’t a fictional character I’m sure she’d be one of my BFF(s).

What are her vices?

Camille HATES to be told what to do. (Don’t we all?) She isn’t afraid to make waves or to simply go her own way. She has never understood the meaning of family, but as she learns she is not alone in the world, Camille is anxious to be a part of her new found family. Drake is both her biggest strength and her strongest weakness.

What are Camille’s virtues?

Camille is a kick-butt heroine. Her true strength is her unwavering force of will. As her story unfolds, I think she’s a character we’ll all hope to see when we look in the mirror.

How is Camille described in the book (physical and/or personality)

Camille has long dark hair, milk-chocolate eyes and is of average build. She is closely tied to her best friend Daniel. She is flawed and has a tendency to be tougher than most leading ladies in the Paranormal Genre. She doesn’t always make the best decisions, but can be counted on to try to do the right thing at every turn.

I LOVE Starbucks’ White Mocha Latte and Mountain Dew, (but not together). I have a lead foot so I set cruise control when I drive, even in 25 MPH zones. I almost never win when I play Angry Birds, but have my 9 year old close, so he can clear the hard levels for me. I grew up on a farm and am opposed to eating fresh chicken (not opposed to meat - just opposed to any meat that was alive a few hours before lunch). I am a huge fan of the show, Big Bang Theory, on CBS. I have two fantastic sons, three rotten dogs and a husband that I adore.
