I always dreamed of being a mother. What it would feel like to have a baby growing inside of me. To feel the first kick, hear the first cry and to know everything was forever going to be changed but in the most blessed way.
I didn't expect it all to happen the way it did. I always thought that finding out you are going to be a mother would be so exciting. I never thought I would feel fear. That will always be something that I remember. The terror of the unknown. Please don't take that wrong, nothing about the baby inside of me is anything short of a god given gift. So many women try everything within their power and are never awarded what I have. My heart goes out to them. I may not have any idea yet what truly being a mother is, but I know that the first time I get to look into his or her eyes will be the moment life will no longer be about me. Mothers are selfless. They will do anything to nurture and protect, love and guide. They endure the ups and downs, all the while knowing if they get at least most of it right, their child will stand a decent chance when it comes time for them to be on their own. They aren't afraid to put their foot down and set boundaries. They know that respect is something that needs to be, its not a choice. So many challenges are faced along the way but the reward is just getting to own the title. I know I'm not technically a mother yet, but I just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful amazing mothers in the world, You deserve way more than a day. Love, Sadie |
Sadie Warren is a walking contradiction. The confidence she wears on the outside is only to cover the scars that are imbedded on her soul. Coming out of an abusive relationship where she was stripped of her security and confidence, she chooses to bury it under every man she gives her body to.
After one intoxicated night that she will never remember in its entirety, everything begins to change. Being seen more for her positive attributes and less for her faults, Sadie arises from the dark and into a place she feels safe. But with that comes a chain of events that blur the lines of everything she thought she needed and everything she's beginning to want.
Will fear keep her from the one thing she believes she desires most or will fate take a turn unexpectedly and change everything?
Hey there guys, my name is Colton Jennings, but most people just call me Colt. After reading Sadie's story myself, I wanted to straighten a few things out. I know everything she told you was how she felt through everything, but it certainly wasn't how I did. I thought I came across as a jerk, like I didn't care enough through the whole ordeal to appreciate what I had while I had it. That was not the case for one second. I was just lost within myself, trying to figure out what I needed from what I wanted and I made the wrong choices. You won't understand a thing I'm saying if you haven't read Finding Solace first. But if you have, this is how I saw it.
