On this campus, I’m worshiped. While seven hundred miles away, back in my hometown, I’m still trailer park trash, child of the town tramp, and older sibling to three kids who are counting on me to keep my shit together so I can take them away from the same crappy life I grew up in.

These two opposing sides of myself never mix until one person gets a glimpse of the true me. I never expected to connect with anyone like this or want more beyond one night. This may be the real deal.

Problem is, Dr. Kavanagh’s my literature professor.

If I start anything with a teacher and we’re caught together, I might as well kiss my entire future goodbye, as well as my family’s, and especially Dr. Kavanagh’s. Except sometimes love is worth risking everything. Or at least, it damn well better be because I can only resist so much.

This is my first book by Linda Kage and it most certainly won't be my last.

From the moment I read the synopsis I wanted to get to know Dr Kavanagh and Noel I simply felt drawn to the story and I am glade I read it because its soooo freaking good.

Noel is Mr big shot football player on campus; girl throwing themselves at his feet all the guys want to be him but that is only the imagine he portrays to the wold. Behind all his cocky bravado and easy go lucky personality lies a who different story, he is the poor kid who grew up in a trailer park with and absent mother and one younger sister and two brother who he had to raise whiles trying to forge a better future for himself and his siblings.

I absolutely adore his hard work and determination to achieve what he has. Now miles away from the trailer park and the town where people look down on him. Noel has a job to support himself and his family back home, he is studying full time to keep his grades up in order to maintain his football scholarship. I'm completely smitten with Noel he is such a great guy with a massive heart.
