This was a great debut novel. I was intrigued by the synopsis and knew I
was in for a treat and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a story of hope, growth
strength and determination. And as a reader I felt honored to join the
characters on this emotional ride.
Riley has just broken up from her ex Aaron but she is drowning in
depression. She is lost and is trying hard to find her way whilst bringing up
her son who suffers with a speech impediment. Aaron was a bit of a prat, he didn’t
treat Riley well and she knows deep down she did the right thing by leaving
him.
River has had many speech therapists try and help him but none of them
have worked out so far that is until Liam is sent to help them. Riley and Liam
hit it off straight away and there are definite sparks between them and what
makes him even more special is the way he is with River.
Riley and Liam could build on their strong foundation and really become
something great but Aaron has other ideas. He doesn’t want Riley happy and will
do anything in his power to sabotage all the good in her life but the question
is will Riley be strong enough to fight hi, to stick up for what she wants and
can Liam stick around and be the man Riley and River need?????

She loves to read, write and watch her two favorite shows, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. When she isn’t enthralled with a novel or a gory show, you can find her in the stands loudly cheering on her boys at their basketball and football games. She has three strong beliefs in life; Vanilla cake and Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream should be a major food group, Halloween should be celebrated every month, and Harry Potter’s birthday should be a national holiday.
