Veronica has already experienced a rough life. Her parents were never supportive of anything she did. Ronni didn't need her parents though, she had Josh, her husband, and a baby on the way. Until tragedy strikes, but that was three years ago.
Now she has no ties and no friends. She chases storms for a living. It's tough being a lone girl out there. Other storm chasers do not hesitate to give her shit. It's her form of denial though, she doesn't have to face losing her husband and child this way.
" If you asked me, denial was the best stage of grief. If prompted, the wicked Queen's mirror would definitely say it was the fairest of them all. Therefore, I just stuck to it and ignored the other stages."

She used being a bitch as her cover. That is until she finds a family that can see through all her bullshit. Enters the Cade family. They knew she would be a part of their life before she even met them all. Cameron Cade, Jr aka CJ is the first she lets start to break her down. Then come his father Cameron Cade, The Original. She knows if she stays around him her wall around her heart will surely come down. 

"As he cleared the doorway and stepped to the side, I took in the man behind him, and my heart tripped over itself in my chest. Like someone had kicked out a foot right in its path, it stumbled and fell flat on its face. Oh my God."

When she tried to break free and leave she had no idea that both Camerons were not going to let her go. Kinda like the saying 'you can run but you can't hide.' She tries her beat to be a complete bitch to him, but that still didn't affect him. He liked it. 

"Why on earth would you like me being a bitch to you?" I asked unable to mask my disbelief."

Impossible is such a great book. It is written from Roni's point of view. The author, Laurel Ulen Curtis, does a great job portraying Roni's struggle to keep herself in her comfort zone. She also has a great sense of humor. The comedy in this book definitely had people looking at me like I was crazy. I just could not get enough!!
