Cameron is a high school teacher. He has a girlfriend, Hayley, from college that he lives with, but their relationship is rocky.
When he got his high school teaching job his mentor tried to caution Cam about the student. He told him it was fine to be friendly, but do not become their friends. Especially the girls, they are always trouble. He was so sure he would not have that problem though and told his mentor this. Great job and the girl he's been with for years, there is no reason he should stray. That is until he has one student that really takes to him.
"All of them," he had written. "Are so beautiful, so alluring, yet deadly- life draining vampires who possess the power to transfix the opposite sex with their feminine wiles, leaving these spellbound males weak, vulnerable and ultimately barren." ~ Cameron
Nikki is his student, but he cannot stop thinking about her, wondering if she thought of him too. He never planned to act on any thoughts or feeling until one night after a fight with Hayley he just snapped.

Just as he was giving into his want for Nikki, he and Hayley decided to work things out. Unfortunately, things just were not getting better so he turned to Nikki. After talking, they decided to "accidentally" run into each other at Dunkin Donuts to "work" on a paper for class.
"You know, we should not be doing this," he said. "I could really get in a lot of trouble." ~ Cameron
He knows what he is doing is wrong, but that doesn't stop him. That is until Nikki begins getting cocky during school hours. How long will it take before one of them slip up? Can all of their scheming really be kept a secret, or will some light be shown.
Nobody has to know is written in Cam's point of view. In some sections it seems to switch to a third person point of view focusing on some of the other characters. It does switch back and forth between past occurrences and the present. There were a few of those scenes that jumped around that confused me, but otherwise was written well.
