From the bestselling author of RUINED comes
SANCTUARY OF MINE:
When you see someone who looks like they need saving, you save them right?
Mackenzie Deeks is struggling. Outwardly she plays the tough guy and acts like
being a young adult with an eating disorder is no big deal. Inside, she's
crumbling.
Ever since her parents’ divorce, the only way she has been able to feel in
control of her life is by purging the despair that has its grips on her and
won't let go.
Tyler Redding knows when someone needs help - he's seen it before. This time,
though, he's not going to take no for an answer. From the moment he first sets
his sights on Mackenzie, he's unable to think of anyone else. But how can he
focus on a football career when all he wants to do is date the most unassuming
person he's ever met?
As their lives become intricately entwined, it becomes more than wishful
thinking when Mackenzie and Tyler find each other again as adults. With
successful careers, a beachside lifestyle and each other’s love to contend
with, life should be pretty damn good. But just when they think they’ve found
their wonderful kind of normal, their perfect world comes crashing down.
It’s going to take a lot to keep Mackenzie from succumbing to old habits, but
Tyler thinks he might just be the one to save her for good.

EXCERPT
I’m right. When my skinny jeans are around my ankles and my thong is exposed to his
hungry eyes, I know things are about to get serious.
‘Don’t you want to turn off the light,’ I say self-consciously.
‘No way. I want to see every bit of you, especially your face as it contorts when I make
you come. Oh. My. Fucking. Gawd! I think I just came anyway.
My skimpy underwear is already wet. The words he’s mumbling in my ear are just
making it worse. I need release. I want him, dirty talk and all.
‘I need you,’ I pant.
‘I get it,’ he responds, reaching over his shoulder to haul his shirt off. His large shoulders
are only shadowed by the impressive definition on display across his stomach. Taking
both of my hands in his, he pins them above my head and takes a little nip at my neck.
‘Leave those there,’ he commands. Large hands run down my chest, gently massaging
my breasts as he works his way to my hips. He takes one last glance at me before gently
tucking his fingers under the edge of my thong, seductively inching it off.
‘Oh …’ I’m rendered speechless as the smoothness of his chest rubs between my thighs
as his mouth trails kisses towards my sweet spot. Now I know exactly what his intention
is. As he nips with his teeth on the apex of my thighs, my legs involuntarily fall apart,
allowing him the access he clearly wants. I can feel the coolness of the air on my pussy.
He blows warm breath on me before taking his first taste.
His tongue darts in and out of me like a snake’s. It’s intoxicating, tantalising. He finds the
bud of my sex and continues to massage me with his tongue, occasionally giving me a
really good suck. I’m writhing around, unable to control the way he’s making me feel.
‘How’s that baby?’ he asks.
‘Argh, so … good,’ I squirm. There is no way he’s done. He continues to build the
sensation and starts to use his thumb to massage the top of my pussy while his tongue
dips lower towards my anus. I’m about ready to explode and tell him so, fisting his hair,
trying to pull him deeper inside of me.
‘Not yet,’ he coaxes. He loses the rest of his clothing and comes to straddle me on the
bed.
‘Let me take you in my mouth,’ I offer eagerly. He nods and turns around so we are
suddenly in a 69 position. Holy Fuck! His cock fills my mouth as his mouth finds me
again. While I suck him, he teases me relentlessly with his tongue. I rub his balls and feel
him still in my mouth. He’s about to come. He does the polite thing and pulls out so his
hot semen can ejaculate all over my stomach. While he’s coming quietly, his fingers
finish me off. The sight of him coming all over me sends me over the edge. I shatter
around his fingers before my body starts to tremble from the aftershock.

Ow, Ow Matey, this is one hell of a book.
When I started I never intended to read every single page I was planning on reading some and skimming some. That little plan of mine went right out the window after I read the first chapter. I was entranced and intrigued as the first half of story hit very had to home. Mackenzie Deeks is suffering with eating disorders, triggered by stress and lack of control over situations in her life. At school she is a loner who stays out of the way vying to be invisible.
However Tyler Redding notices her from the moment he laid eyes on her, he wants her he also sees the struggle and all she is drowning in. He recognize from personal experience and knows she needs help.
"I want her to get better, I really do. But mess or not- I just want her"~Tyler
Tyler,Tyler ohh boy I don't think Amazing comes close to describing him, he was perfect kind, sweet and loving in every way.
"I will always be a son she can be proud of. I will always give her those little milestones moments."~Tyler
She is also very drawn to Tyler in ways she is yet to understand
"For some inexplicable reason, Tyler is the only one I see"~Mack
They develop a budding relationship, that makes her forget her troubles and want to do better.
Then comes the dramatic moment where they are ripped apart. That was one of the best parts of the book because after that, I read like a bat out of hell on speed I was no longer bale to take notes or copy quotes. No I was too engulfed in the story.
During there period of physical separation they both went through major growth and development. Tyler grew into a beast of a man and Mack worked on herself over coming her eating disorder and focusing on the positives in her life.
A segment of this book is in the form of letters between the two. (very sweet might I add)
What had me so excited was that all this takes up only 50% of this book so I was on the edge wondering how in Gods earth can S.Prat continue this leave amazement and where can she possibly take the book now.
There was really only one way and S.Prat when there and did so brilliantly, complete knocked it out of the park.
The second half of the book was just as good as the first. I loved and enjoyed every second of it.
The writing was just flawless, I loved the authenticity to Australia all the little quarks were written in.
I appreciate, that Prat wrote about eating disorder because its a deadly disease that affects millions of people myself included.
It was handled well and stayed true to the condition.
This is one of those books that hits hard and true.
Amazing book love it.
