BLOG STOP TOUR ~ FORGIVEN by Rebecca Brooke
SYNOPSIS
What happens when one moment changes the course of your entire life? Do you sit back and accept it, or fight to live the life you choose? Caleb Jacobs has a past that has haunted him for two years. Knowing he can never forgive himself for the events that led to his departure, Caleb chooses to live a quiet life—concentrating on school, sports, and shots. But when he is paired with Angie for a history project he realizes that no matter how much you try to hide from your past, one way or another it will find you.
Angelina Powers knows what she wants from life. Growing up with only an alcoholic father for company, Angie learned early on in life that you can only count on yourself. But that doesn’t stop her wishing for her white knight. She’s confident, happy and focused…until she meets Caleb. So how will she feel when her potential white knight turns out to be more of a black shadow?
Caleb and Angie both has a fucked up past. One Caleb hasn't let anyone into and Angie is careful who she tells about. However, when they entered into class one day they did not bargain on what would happen upon on meeting each other.
When partnered together for a project, he reacts harshly tell her to stay the fuck away from him because he couldn't work with her on the project. Unfortunately for him, both of them needed to pass this project so they may keep their scholarships. Working that close to her may be a huge mistake for him.
He continues to try to make her believe he isn't interested in her, but that isn't so easy when the second he hears someone talking about her he begins to rage. Not that his friend, Josh makes things better when he is dancing with her at a party. Jealousy takes over causing him to end up kissing her, then try to blow it off as a mistake.
After hurting her many times with several more mistakes, he realizes he needs to be honest with her as well as himself. Will it be too late for him? Will she have given up deciding to move on? Will their pasts hold them back from having a healthy relationship?
Forgiven is written from both Caleb and Angie's point of view. Let me just say both characters are fucked up from their past, but Caleb shows it more and you can tell his struggle really well in his point of view. Angie may have had a screwed up past, but she really does strive to get past it all rather than let it suck her under like Caleb does. The author did an amazing job writing this story. I especially love how the author shows the characters growing over time. Do not miss out, by not getting a copy of this book!!
