She’s headed for the big time…unless her heart gets stopped at the pass.
Forty-two-year-old single father Griffin Turner couldn't have made it through colic and calving season without his mother’s babysitting services. But just when he thinks he’s got the hardest part of the infant learning curve licked, he gets devastating news. Mom is sick. And Griffin is forced to hire a nanny.
With nothing but twenty dollars in her pocket and her voice, Nola Brady wants to leave small-town Wyoming to pursue her dreams in Nashville. She answers Griffin’s ad to keep body and soul together until her big chance arrives. Love isn't even on her radar…until she unexpectedly falls for the rough-and-playful cowboy.
Between the sheets, they’re poetry. Outside the bedroom, he inspires her to be more woman than she ever dreamed possible, which scares her enough to put on the brakes…and hit the road.
But if she thought he’d just let her leave quietly, she was wrong. Because hell hath no fury like a cowboy in love…especially one with a baby on his hip. And a ring with her name on it.
Warning: This cowboy daddy is determined to make a May/September romance work—even if he has to lay down his palm or his mouth on a round ass cheek to do it.
I have never read anything like this, a daddy cowboy not afraid to love taking on whatever life throws his way. The storyline is actually quite simple but unique with fabulous characters that get your attention.
You truly fall in love with each of them and root for them to make it.
After stopping his 22 year old girlfriend at the time from aborting his child. Griffin makes a deal with her to have the baby and he will take sole responsibility for his daughter Lyric, on top of being a single dad he is a rancher a real cowboy with the hat and cowboy boots to match. Did I mention that this is one fine ass man; older rugged and handsome with the physic of a 25 year old male athlete???? No well I should have started with that I'm totally crushing on the loveable rancher.
The 42 year old Cowboy is done with younger women he needs a mature lady who will be able to help him raise Lyric (How beautiful is this name Em did an awesome job picking this name, perfect for the story).
On a night out he meets Nola and things get hot and heavy but he put a break on things not wanting to mess around with another younger women even thought he feels drawn to her in ways he has never experienced before.
"Since the moment he'd set eyes on her, he hadn't been able to look at anyone else. Had it ever been this way for him before?"
Nola is a 25 year old aspiring singer who's dreaming of moving to Nashville to chase her dreams of becoming a country star in fact she plans on it as soon as she gets enough money together. So when she sees an add for a nanny position she applied without knowing her employer would be the man that took her breath away then turned her down a few weeks previous.
Griffin offers Nola the job which she accepts with the mindset she will not get involved with the daddy cowboy no matter how tempting he is, the last thing she needs is attachments when she leaves town.
Only a few short days after Nola started caring for his daughter the attraction became all too much and he could no longer keep his hands to himself the chemistry between them explode into steamy, panty wetting sexual pleasures that lit the pages on fire.
Griffin might be 18 years older than Nola but with age comes experience and this man knows how to pleasure a women seven shades of Sunday (he might be the same age as ma dad but I would certainly have a roll in the hay with this sexy hot pappa and don't fucking judge me read the book you will be saying the same thing)
"Age hadn't mattered when he was buried inside her, their gazes locked as they made love. Fell in love."
The love that was growing between the two was so palatable, it flourished from page to page and as a reader I felt present and captured it really held my attention. I found myself smiling more and more.
Your heart will be pulled as they both struggle to fit into each other's life, Nashville has always been her dream but her feelings For Griffin are also turning into a dream, one she never counted one. But she does not want to be just a wife and mother. she is talented, everyone in town knows she is destined for bigger and better things.I felt her struggle and emotions whiles cheering her on to achieve her dreams but I wanted her to find a way to capture and maintain her new life.
When things got too intense Nola packed up and and headed in search of her life long dream which she finds, only now she also has a new dreams which includes a cowboy and a cute baby girl. Nola grew and developed throughout the book I really liked her she is feisty, beautiful and girl has real talent she is also not perfect, but she doesn't have tons of problems (like every heroine seems to have these days) she knows what she's what she want just not how to actually get it. She has a massive heart, she loves with all she's got matching that of her very own cowboy who desperately wants to put a ring it.
"She missed him, she missed the baby. She wanted to make Alice hot tea when she woke up, and she wanted to sleep with her head on Griffin's chest."
Over all really good, funny, hot as ghost chilli pepper, sweet the sex scenes has real emotion written through anchoring the wild love making giving it meaning between the couple. I felt a real connection with the characters and the different emotions they experience. We need more books with amazing daddies and original plot line. My only problem was the flow, it was a little disjointed for me I had to really try hard to follow what was happening and the time frame. Don't worry this is only a minor thing the book really good and I would recommend it for sure. Griffin is real man that goes after what he wants he does not come any stupid baggage except a dipper bag lol. Very fun original love story with down to each characters. Get your copy now!!!!!!

Nola’s mind lost track of Molly’s words. Everything around her vanished but those two dark eyes pinning her down.
A movement from Molly snapped her out of it. She looked up in time to see her sister had raised her glass in greeting to Mr. Thigh-Clenchingly Hot.
She wrapped her fingers around Molly’s arm. “What the hell are you doing? Don’t draw his attention.”
“Why not? Have you scored in the past six months? You’ve gotta be feeling the weight of that stare, sis. Why not invite him onto the dance floor?”
“No, I—” She glanced up to see him pull away from the wall and make his way across the floor. “Oh f***. Now look what you’ve done!”
She tried to duck and run into the masses, but Molly hooked a boot around her shin and sent her careening off-balance. Her beer sloshed over the floor, spattering the boots of some dancers.
“So sorry,” she mouthed, her voice lost in the stampede of boots and the cry of appreciation as someone took the microphone for an old Hank Williams song.
Two long, denim-clad legs slid into her vision. She followed the lines up, up, up to the thick chest sporting the white and gray western shirt. And hell, the fabric had a small embroidered flower design next to the pearl buttons.
A man who wore embroidery was very comfortable in his skin. Not a boy. A man.
If she’d had any question about this, she didn’t now as she stared into his face. Small lines framed his eyes and lips, and a few threads of silver wove through his beard.
She quivered.
“Wanna dance?” He offered a hand to her, and she gaped at it for two heartbeats.
Before she could think, Molly had divested her of her beer. Then her sister shoved her from behind, and Nola jerked forward. Taking her movement as acceptance, Mr. Thigh-Clenchingly Hot wrapped his fingers around hers and tugged her onto the floor.
Before she could suck in air, she was whipped into his embrace. When she did, she filled her head with his personal musk—man and clean soap. Leather.
He was smiling at her. She returned it, then gave a laugh and dropped her gaze.
He leaned in. “I’m Griffin. And before you ask, this is the first dance I’ve had in over a year. So don’t laugh at my jumbled up feet.”
How could she remain aloof to that? Everything about him charmed the pants—or mini-skirt—right off her.
“I’m Nola.” She inhaled deeply and didn’t catch a hint of beer or whiskey on him. “You’re not drinking tonight?”
The corner of his mouth tipped up. “Nah. I’m a designated driver. Love to help out the cause and my ma has the—” He bit off the rest of the sentence with a shake of his head. “My ma taught me to give back to the community.”
For several heartbeats, she lost herself in his deep, chocolate gaze. God, were those golden flecks in his eyes? And the creases around each corner enhanced the image that he perpetually squinted into the sun or smiled. Or both.
“Crowded in here,” she said a little breathlessly. The bodies hemming her in tighter to Griffin were unwelcome. Weren’t they?
Damn, she needed to get away from him, and fast. One more upward quirk of his mouth and she’d be wearing a wedding band and apron.
