Title: Hardball
Author: CD Reiss
Genre: Contemporary/Sports Romance
 Release Date: March 29, 2016

Perfect ass.
Perfect arms.
Perfect swagger.

They call Dash Wallace the Diamond King.
He’s the hottest commodity in baseball and in the bedroom.
When he runs the bases, every woman’s eyes are glued to his stunning body and a smile that puts the night lights to shame.
I’m no queen. I’m a regular girl with a regular job. I just watch him on TV and from the bleachers, season after season.

Girls like me grab a guy like that one in a million times.
My number just came up, and he is as spectacular in bed as he is on the field.
But there’s not a woman in the world who can distract Dash Wallace from the game. Not for a moment. Not even me.
Until the night I do. And everything changes.

Hardball is a SMOKING HOT, SEXY romance with a touch of angst and a ton of heart from CD Reiss. It's a fun, witty, full-length standalone meant for the over-eighteen crowd.

I’m no queen. I’m a regular girl with a regular job. I just watch him on TV and from the bleachers, season after season.

Girls like me grab a guy like that one in a million times.”

Vivian is just a regular woman working as a librarian trying to help children come out of their shells.

Never ever could she have imagined what would come forward from meeting the star baseball player. She certainly didn’t think she’d ever see him again.

“Perfect ass. Perfect arms. Perfect swagger. They call Dash Wallace the Diamond King. He’s the hottest commodity in baseball and in the bedroom.”

Now Dash, he is her complete opposite. He might come across as a risk taker but nothing is what it seems.

So when he sees Vivian he has a hard time adjusting yet he can’t seem to shake her off.

Time limit or not, neither one is willing to let go. But at what price? What will it take for them to let go of their fears and just go with the flow?

An extremely sexy novel with a twist on the much used sport romance genre. We actually get an in depth look behind the characters personalities and see that life ain’t always sunshine and butterflies.

Do I have some issues with the story? A few minor ones perhaps.

Vivian might have caused me to yell .. Loud.. A few times and the sex scenes might have been a bit too much present. But, this is just my personal taste and the things I mentioned did happen for a reason.

Now... On to my favorite quote of the book:

“Stop smiling,”I grumbled.
“Were you this irritating when we met?”
“I was charming. Very charming.”
“Where did Mr. Charming go?”
“That guy didn’t have staying power.”
“But Mr. Irritating? He’ll stick around?”
“Unfortunately. Go up to the top please.”

This quote is one of my favorite moments of this book. Why? Because they were just being them, fun and free without all the issues and the sexy time. The quote showed this book is not only insanely hot but fun and snarky as well.

CD Reiss is a USA Today bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
