Let me just say this book is amazingly touching and it complete sucked me in.
Everly, I fell in love with her character she is the perfect Heroine.

Everly is a young women with the world on her pretty little shoulders; a past filled with tragedy, lost, neglect and betrayal. Her academic and professional future shines bright, she consumes herself with her education earning her a doctorate in Physical Theory at the young age of 23. She lives with her grandfather "pew Paw" and had to became his care giver at an esrly age also working to maintain the roof over their heads. As you can see pretty boring and mundane that is until she meets the brother of her mentor....Cole Parker.

Cole has been suffering from an injured shoulder in silence for fear that it will rewind this career. After a drunk accident he confides in his older brother Wyett and ask for this help to find a doctor to treat him through the back door. Problem is doctors work crazy long hour and he does not want to put any of his fellow doctors in that compromising position.....so the next best thing or what Cole will come to realise as "The Best Thing" Everly Wallace.

He is an absolute sweetheart.
"For a moment, he just held her gaze. This was her first real kiss. He wanted it to be perfect for her."
Everly Has followed baseball her entire life; she she knows exactly who Cole Parker is and she has been crushing on him for years. So when the opportunity appoints itself for her to work with him....what did she do?!? Turn him down of course....that is until her made her an offer she could not refuse.
Her reaction to him was very intense and immediate. Whiles he was intrigued and drawn to her ininexplicable ways.
This is set to be an interesting working relationship. And indeed it was. It's funny how love always sems to blossom when it's the furthest thing from your mind.
"When she started to jerk back, he held her in place. Then he responded, turning the kiss into a melt-your-legs-off sizzler with just a few brushes of his lips against hers."
The love and relationship between the two juat came alive from the pages, the growth, Progression, dough, and the evolving process was all clear to be seen.
There relationship was not rushed it was steady and felt natural.
"Feeling like he'd just been awarded the championship ring, he finally sated her. She was every bit as Divine as he'd anticipated. Sweet. Sultry. Addicting."
However As we all know love and relationships are not always easy, especially when the feelings are intense and new, fear and venerability can make people do and say things in the heat of the moment.
"He thought back again of Everly at the restaurant. He though about how her face lit up when she saw him. Then paled when he started hurling accusation at her. He could only imagine the pain he'd brought to her that evening."~Cole
It is your typical boy meet girl story, but this has so much more, that will leave you breathless; praying for healing. understanding and a HEA for Cole and Everley.

Then you have all the twist and attacks that was absolutely gut wrenching.
The end was beautiful the power of love and redemption flowed in abundance.
This is a very good five star read. The book started slow introducing all the main players getting you to fall in love with then and before long it's 5am in the morning and I'm wondering how the did time escaped me like that then I checked the how much percent I had left to read I was over 80% which was crazy considering I only started around 12pm. I did not even realised just how much this book had sucked me in. All I wanted was to get to the end of their story I simply could not put this book down.
What made this book so great was the character development and the layered plot. Totally brilliant. You get to see where thee charactes started their individual development inked perfectly until the end you experience matured grown characters. The plot build to several claimaxes giving that layered extended intensity that keep me awake until i read the very last page.
I have a few books by Raine Thomas which are a different genre, so I had no clue what to expect. In my opinion she completely a home run.
I highly recommend this book. When I finished I had big smile one my face and I guarantee that you will also.
