it's more than just a fight for my life. It's a fight for my soul and my soul
mate.'
Jazzy Williams is not your average
coffee-loving teen. She's struggling with her grief, her famous uncle’s fans,
an overprotective big brother, and a depressed mother, all while trying to make
friends at her new school. In the first week, she meets a gorgeous green-eyed
hottie who turns out to be more than just some high school crush - he's more
than human. And she unknowingly enrages a very dangerous breed of immortal who
wants her soul or life as payment. With the help of supernatural friends and
protectors, Jazzy thinks she's safe until what remains of her family is put in
danger. Does Jazzy have what it takes to save her family, life, soul and soul
mate, or will all be lost?

REVIEW
When I started this book, even after reading what it was about, I was not as prepared for this awesome book as I first thought!!
Jazzy has experienced some very heart-wretching tradgedy in the last year and little does she know her world is not done being shaken up. Jazzy meets Seth and knows right away he is special to her. How she can become so attached so quickly to someone she just met, she does not understand. That is until Seth drops a big bomb on her, she is his soulmate and he is not human.
Unfortunately, she also learns there are others out there that are not human also. She soon realizes not all of these immortals and creatures have good intentions. She thought at times she was paranoid but finds out she has Defuxen, soul suckers, after her.
Jazzy cannot stand the thought of her friends and family losing her or her losing any of them, but this is the threat the defuxen use against her. When her family become a pawn in the defuxen's game to get to her, what will there be left for her to do? Will everyone that is in this fight with her make it out unscathed? Will she get her happy ending or will the defuxen win?
True Connection is written from Jazzy's point of view. This works out amazingly as we get to see exactly how the defuxen and her soulmate affect her. With the many mind games played by the defuxen and her connection with Seth, Jazzy's struggles, emotions, and other actions are really put on display. The action in this book is so palpable that I feel stuck in a whirlwind and I do not want to come out. Rachel Walter has done such an amazing job, I cannot wait to read future books by her especially in her Soul Mate series!!
