Sometimes the life you planned isn’t the one you get to live. Sometimes the pain of the past overshadows the future. And sometimes to start over you have to go back to where it all began. That’s how it was for Joe Masters. That’s how he ended up back in New Hope. And that’s why he was in his thirties and had nothing to show for his life. So she did the research from the laptop while sitting in front of the fireplace. She knew what she needed when she Googled ‘hope,’ she just never imagined that it would bring her to New Hope, South Carolina. She never imagined that her husband would trick her into leaving and never follow. She never imagined that a southern storm with all its force and fury could be so destructive. But after the storm, the land is washed clean. It’s perfect for a fresh start, a clean slate, and a new love.

Wow! Stormy Surrender, where shall I begin? I loved this book and when I wasn't able to read it, I spent my time day-dreaming about it.
Martha, later known in New Hope as Marti, is a devoted doctors wife that keeps herself busy by helping out in her community. Blaine is Martha's husband that is having an affair with his office manager. Martha has no idea of this affair until she finds herself in the hospital after having a miscarraige. Martha hears the rumors while in the hospital and believes the best thing for them is to start over new in a new town. Little does she know Blaine has no plans on ever joining Martha in thus move, but he leads her to believe he does.
Then we come to the best part Martha moves to New Hope to start her new life. Which she later finds out she will be starting over as a single woman. She meets many new people when she begins her new life, but best of all she makes friends. Neeley, Laurel, and Joe, aka Joey, are her best friends in her new home, but that doesn't last for long as the friendship with Joey starts to heat up into something more!! Both Marti and Joey have troubling past relationships, but will that keep them from becoming something more? If they really try to have a relationship, will they be able to overcome the obstacles thrown ahead of them? Only one way to find out, read this amazing book!!
Stormy Surrender is written in thurd person. In the begining we will rotate between knowing how Blaine and Martha feel and think. As the story progresses, we will see from the Author, Nicole Andrews Moore, how everything evolves with Marti and Joey. We will get to know them also on a personal level through their feelings and thoughts being told to us. All in all this book is very well written.
